- ItemDimensionamento da capacidade de reservação hídrica de macro sistemas de captação de água de chuva para pequenos sistemas de irrigação em pequenas bacias hidrográficas(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2017-06-08) Albán Domínguez, Valeria; Buarque, Diogo Costa; Teixeira, Edmilson Costa; Reis, José Antônio Tosta dos; Silva, Demétrius David daReservoirs and water storage technologies, including the Macro water harvesting systems (Macro WHS), are one of the recommended solutions to mitigate the effects of water deficit in a collective way (a reservation unit to supply two or more users) in rural communities that practice small-scale irrigated agriculture. However, the literature presents little systematized information regarding the design of Macro-WHS, particularly for small irrigation systems in small hydrographic basins, as well as limitations on the availability of data in subsidy to this design. Thus, this research turned to the development of a methodology procedure in support the design of the water storage capacity of Macro WHS for small irrigation systems, in small hydrographic basins, which includes the determination of the total potential volume of the Macro WHS (VR), as well as some indicators to qualify this volume in the context of the catchment area or subregions. The methodological procedure was applied in the Córrego Sossego/Santa Joana river basin – affluent of the Doce river in the state of Espirito Santo, pointing out, among the results: 1. differences of up to 50% of the estimation of the water storage capacity when using different sources of data potentially available, which required the different application of the methods offered by the methodological procedure to determine the agroclimatic parameters; 2. significant differences in the estimated annual volume of water storage (VR), as a function of spatial discretization (local/global or sub-river basins) of water availability and demand – up to 92% and 42%, respectively; 3. The most appropiated use of three proposed indicators that evaluated the water reserve capacity of Macro-WHS, one for direct evaluation of the water storage potential (CCRideal) and two others for the identification of pressures on the water demands of the system (CCR and SI). This experimental, on the one hand, demonstrates the promising use of the proposed methodological procedure, as well as, on the other hand, it gives orientation on aspects of the procedure that should be given more attention aiming at greater performance in its use in a more extensive way.
