One way to make the most competitive photovoltaic solar cell on the market is to reduce the amount of material used. The decrease in thickness encounters physical and operational limits associated with the deposition method. One of them, and that is the object of study in this work, is the limit of minimum flow (low-flow limit). This work presents the numerical simulation of the process of coating Newtonian, non-Newtonian and Newtonian fluids with particles using the VOF (Volume Of Fluid) technique to determine the minimum flow limit of this process. In the case of Newtonian with particles besides the VOF the DPM (Discrete Phase Model) technique is used. The solution domain of the governing equations in the twodimensional plane is restricted to the downstream part of the coating bar. As a result, the increase in capillary number results in an increase in the minimum thickness, and with increasing importance of non-Newtonian behavior the minimum film thickness decreases. For the particles there is an analysis of their concentration, with the occurrence of a problem of high quantity in the coating region, it being desired to occur in the region of interest of the deposited film. The work related to flow with newtonian fluid was published in two journals, as shown in APPENDIX A and APPENDIX B. In addition, an economic analysis, also published, as can be seen in APPENDIX C, and the details are given in APPENDIX E: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT.
