Abstract

Title: SPH Operators on Manifold. This work proposes an extension of the pointbased method Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) to manifolds. The approach is based on a local approximation of the manifold by tangent space, provided that it is smooth enough. Since the tangent space behaves like the euclidean space, one can use the classical formulation of SPH to derive approximations of differential operatos defined on manifold. A consistency analysis of discrete differential operators is provided and them are used in some applications like to solve PDEs on surfaces.
