Resumo
The Carica papaya originates from tropical America. Brazil is among the world's major producers, and the state of Espírito Santo figure as the country's biggest exporter, the variety of the group is more cultivated soil, and crops for export, a variety prevails Golden Land Group (Jacomino , BROWN, KLUGE, 2003). The state produces more than 630,000 tons annually, approximately, 7,900 there. The cultivation generates a gross income of approximately $ 50 million Porano and employs about 9,000 people in the production and marketing throughout the year, which makes this fruit, among the most important of the exploited in this state.
