Resumo
This work presents an investigation about the representation of agricultural conflicts in the pages of the newspaper A Tribuna, focusing on territorial disputes between quilombola communities and international eucalyptus agribusiness, in the Northern Region of the State of Espírito Santo. The conflicts, which began in the 1960s, with the installation of major projects for the production of charcoal and cellulose and the implementation of monoculture eucalyptus, continue to the present day, decimating a native tropical forest and the entire support base of life in rural black communities. The chosen methodology was the Framing Theory, or the Analysis of tables, which made it possible to understand the news production process and its relationship with the culture and politics of Espírito Santo society. From the support of Content Analysis, it was possible to infer that the narratives constructed by A Tribuna disregard the ancestry of quilombola communities, as well as their struggles and resistance. In addition, the frameworks implemented by the periodic contribution to a stereotype of quilombola crime, based on the reiteration of racist practices that support the maintenance of the status quo of hegemonic white elites and promo or agribusiness as a previous model of development for the agrarian space Brazilian
