The syphilis is considered a public health problem, because in addition to increasing incidence rates it also has deleterious effects on the fetus when it occurs in pregnancy women. Perform a spatial analyses is great benefit, because is ideal tool for evaluate the distribution and identify areas with higher concentration of cases. This study has objective of the analyze the spatial distribution of the cases in syphilis in pregnancy and congenital syphilis in the state of Espírito Santo in the period from 2011 to 2015. It’s about in ecological study with spatial analyses of cases of syphilis notified in notification of injury information system using the software STATA 13 and Terra View 4.2.0. In study were included all reported cases syphilis in pregnancy and congenital syphilis. On both maps is possible to observe a main cluster in the metropolitan area and north of the state. Numerous municipalities with high rate the detection of the syphilis in pregnant woman in some municipalities and may indicate that carrying out the notification of cases. However many municipalities did not present any rate of detection of syphilis in pregnant women suggesting underreporting the cases. In the many municipalities there is a low detection rate of syphilis in pregnant woman but high rates of congenital syphilis evidencing underreporting. The study evidenced priority areas in acting and municipalities in the high risk of disease. It is necessary also training and education in health of this population and health professionals.
