This research intends to analyze the contents taught in high school regarding financial Mathematics and probability, aiming to understand actuarial Mathematics and its utility in daily life. They are presented through analysis of everyday situations, such as calculations of life insurance and private pension, in order to prepare supplementary teaching materials on actuarial Mathematics to education of young people and adults. It is justified by the necessity of contextualizing the contents to the reality of the students, mainly on EJA modality, through the preparation of supplementary materials. Based on Freitas (2011), Cordeiro Filho (2014), Pacheco (2014) and Freire (2005), the research is build on the belief that Mathematics contributes both to scientific and empirical knowledge, focusing on experiences and relationships of individuals. In addition, this research provides a different way to approach the financial Mathematics content and probability and presents to students results are influenced on their life expectancy using standard calculations, but of easy understanding through content covered in high school.
