Resumo
This study has as its theme the relationship between labor and education, specifically the
organization of the teachers’ working journey. It sought to answer the following questions:
how planning (PL) offically appears in the physical education teachers’ working journey in
the city of Serra (ES)? Which are the functions assigned to them? How the PL is organized?
In turn, what do physical education teachers from this education network report to do during
the planning and what are the reasons that lead them to execute such tasks in this planning
moment? From this questions we raised some hipotheses, among them, the one that teachers
are asked to perform tasks in their planning time, which are beyond the act of planning/ and
even though some of them may be part of their teaching attributions at school. Such tasks may
only be performed in such period, once there is no other specific moment to these other
demands. Before such questions and hypotheses, we sought to elaborate, in this research, a
diagnostic that may contribute to evaluate the current organization of the teachers’ labor,
specifically relating to the planning time. The research is based on the marxist theoretical
reference, mainly the concept of labor in Marx, teleological position in Lukács and
educational labor in Saviani. To accomplish the proposed goal, additionally to the theretical
work we collect data through a questionnaire and interview. In general, the analysed data in
this dissertation corroborate with our hypotheses. Although the wage level law officially
guarantees to the teacher one-third of his working journey directed to the planning activity,
such period is filled with numerous other activities and because of that the act of planning is
reduced to a burocratic activity. To accomplish his atributions, because of such reduced time,
the teacher works beyong his journey. Teachers feel overwhelmed to the point that they use
the PL to rest. It is concerning, overall, the place of colective planning at the teachers’ labor.
Some teachers said that they do not have such collective planning at their schools; However,
even to those who say they have such período there is not, in fact, a collecitve educational
work, once the time to share informations is reduced. The high demand of tasks and the
insuficiente time have mischaracterized the planning of the teachers’ labor. We believe that
such fact contributes emphatically to the process of intensification/precarization of the
teaching labor. It is necessary to consider the progress offered by the wage level Law.
However, there are aspects that make such law lapsed. Many struggles need to be faced and
we understand that the results from this dissertation may positively contribute.
