Mistério no ecossistema: o uso de sequências investigativas no ensino de ecologia

Resumo
Man is an integral part of nature, therefore, reflecting on how humanity interacts with the environment is crucial to thinking about a relationship that values respect for nature and environmental issues. The Covid-19 pandemic brought us an alert on how we should review and reflect on our egocentric behavior. From this perspective, two investigative teaching sequences were applied in Biology classes, within the Ecology content, under a reflective bias to the current context of the pandemic. During this process, we verified the contributions of these sequences to the formation of critical, capable bodies, related to scientific knowledge of the reality of the social context, as well as identifying and proposing solutions to possible environmental problems. The first sequence brought a more conceptual approach, the construction and observation of terrariums concepts were discussed and built. Then, a second sequence was applied through Google Form. This was produced from the use of gamification techniques on a narrative contextualized in mystical, fantasy and real elements. Students investigate the cause of an environmental disaster using their knowledge of ecology to fulfill missions. At the end of the path covered, the students had a report of the conclusion of the investigation, the suspects of the facts and evidence that the accident happened for them. For data analysis, we chose to use the qualitative method and a content analysis proposed by Bardin. In the sequences, the students participated in an engaged way, demonstrating satisfaction, commitment and seriousness with what they were doing, the group in which they drew the most attention, it was possible to perceive that effecting the exchanges of form between them was possible, taking and explaining concepts that can be seen in a lecture. The didactic sequences gave rise to an educational product in E-book format.
