Resumo
The study aims to: a) describe and analyze the process of systematizing and
transmitting adapted sports as content teaching in physical education classes in
school , b ) identify and analyze the extent to which the practice of adapted sports in
physical education classes can facilitate the process of inclusion of people with
disabilities in school . Methodologically , it is characterized as a qualitative research
case study , with the subjects of the 5th grade students of both sexes , aged 10 to 11
years in a public school , regular school , municipality of Vitoria - ES . Show up as
subjects of research Professor of Physical Education class and two students with
disabilities , one with cerebral palsy and one with low vision . For data collection we
used the following instruments : a semi-structured interview , field diary , the video
recording , photographic records and ratings for pupils on the theme . The
intervention process was conducted from February to June 2012, the
accompaniment of two weekly classes of regular Physical Education , totaling 17
classes , plus two hours a week of evaluation and planning . This proposed content
was themed from the didactic transposition of sports adapted to a model based on
progressive proposals of Physical Education . As a result , the study identifies the
adapted sport , being conceived in school from an approach that considers the
educational needs and worry about learning to relate to questions about inclusion ,
shows up as an important content to be worked in schools Brazilian teachers of
Physical Education . It is evident that the didactic- methodological organized for
classes approached the students with and without disabilities to practice the same
activities , provided them with the knowledge of new sports , changed the image they
had of people with disabilities , especially about their sports skills , and encouraged
the class teacher the initiative to work adapted sports , while content to be
thematized in their future classes .
