In this work liposomes compound by phosphatidylcholine derived from soy lecithin, cholesterol and polyethylene glycol content extract with high antioxidant capacity from dried leaves of Ilex guayusa L. The chemical structure of the samples were characterized through Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, raman spectroscopy, phenolic compounds by Folin-Ciocalteau method, where the presence of extract in liposomes was proven. Antioxidant potential was measured through ABTS and DPPH method. Through this analysis, the high antioxidant potential of guayusa extract (IC50% 0,33 e 0,23 mg/mL) and liposomes (IC50% 0,42 e 0,78 mg/mL) was proven. The physicochemical and morphologic characterization of samples was performed by dynamic light scattering (DLS), atomic force electron microscopy (AFM), transmission electronic microscopy (TEM), transmission electronic cryomicroscopy (cryoTEM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to analyze shape, size and thermal analysis of particles. The hydrodynamic diameter was approximately 80 nm, and trough cryomicroscopy perceive it was possible to optimize a synthesis route with the smallest possible dispersion of small, unilamellar vesicles and stabilized to covalescence.
