This subject is closely linked to the area of concentration of the PPGDIR at UFES, particularly regarding of Existential and Patr ensuring the effectiveness of jurisdiction in contemporary contexts. The study stemmed from the question of how the techniques provided for the handling of possessory actions may be applied to other types of claims that do not have possession as their sole foundation, but which share certain objectives or procedural structures with them. The purpose of the investigation was to demonstrate that the enhancement of procedural techniques, as opposed to procedural rigidity, allows for greater flexibility and adaptability of procedural forms to the concrete needs of the parties, thereby enabling the transposition of such techniques to atypical or collective claims. The theory of procedural techniques was used as the structuring core of the analysis, with particular attention to the proposal of overcoming the dichotomy between actions and procedures, as well as to a constitutionally oriented interpretation of civil procedure. The dissertation was based on bibliographic review and dogmatic analysis of the current legislation, with emphasis on the provisions of the CPC/2015 concerning possessory actions, along with case law study. The research drew on classical and contemporary legal doctrine on possession and property, the main Brazilian procedural codes, decisions from higher courts, and relevant legislative materials. It was concluded that the special techniques provided for possessory proceedings such as the granting of preliminary injunctions based on summary cognition, mediation hearings in mass litigation, and the fungibility among possessory remedies may be understood as instruments that go beyond the restricted domain of typical possessory actions. The research argues that CPC/2015 introduced a logic of procedural flexibility centered on the effectiveness of rights protection, shifting the focus from procedural forms to procedural functions. Therefore, the transposition of procedural techniques from possessory actions to other claims constitutes a movement consistent with the principles of contemporary civil procedure, reaffirming the centrality of technique as an instrument for the realization of law and justice

The quality of care provided is also compromised, due to fatigue and decreased empathy when interacting with patients. Signs of Burnout have been observed among nephrology nursing staff, with effects on the health of the worker and the work environment. Objective: To identify the determinants of Burnout Syndrome and Compassion Fatigue, to describe Burnout and Compassion Fatigue in nursing workers, to analyze the perception of nursing workers in relation to Burnout and Compassion Fatigue, and to build an educational technology for coping with Burnout and Compassion Fatigue for nursing workers. Method: Applied research, with technological production, carried out with nursing workers from the nephrology service of a university hospital in the southeast. The research was carried out in four stages: 1) Literature review; 2) Quantitative data collection; 3) Qualitative data collection; 4) Technology development. Results: The integrative literature review includes work overload, lack of institutional support and continuous contact with situations of suffering as the main determinants for the development of Burnout and Compassion Fatigue among nursing workers in the nephrology sector. These factors were corroborated by the study's findings. In the quantitative analysis, 47% of the participants showed high levels of stress and 53% showed signs of Burnout; in addition, 65% reported symptoms of Compassion Fatigue, and the majority of those affected were women, 70%. In the qualitative analysis, the following categories emerged: emotional and work overload, lack of professional recognition and lack of psychological support. Product: Chatbot-type educational technology, with an artificial intelligence interface and self-management, in which the virtual secretary can identify workers' demands regarding Burnout Syndrome and Compassion Fatigue, presenting personalized strategies based on user interactions. Final considerations: This study revealed an overview of the information collected in the assessments of Burnout Syndrome and Compassion Fatigue among nursing workers in the Nephrology Unit. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, it was possible to measure the severity of these conditions using psychometric scales and to explore the professionals' subjective perceptions. The quantitative analysis revealed high levels of stress and emotional exhaustion, while the qualitative analysis highlighted categories such as emotional overload, lack of professional recognition and absence of psychological support. Based on these findings, educational technology was developed in the form of a chatbot, designed to help professionals self-manage Burnout and Compassion Fatigue, responding to the specific needs of workers
- ItemContribuições da obra o diário de Anne Frank em quadrinhos para a formação do leitor responsivo(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2025-08-13) Langoni, Ana Carolina; Co-orientador1; https://orcid.org/; Lattes; Orientador1; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; 1º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; Lattes; 2º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; Lattes; 3º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; Lattes; 4º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; LattesBased on the premise that reading, understood as a social and dialogic practice, can serve as a powerful instrument for the critical, aesthetic, and ethical formation of individuals, this research investigates the contributions of the graphic novel adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank to the formation of the responsive reader. It considers the specificities of the hybrid language of comics and the pedagogical possibilities that arise when reading is intentionally mediated by teachers. Through bibliographic research and a qualitative analysis of the work, the study aims to understand how the adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank into graphic novel format can contribute to the development of a responsive reader. The thesis defends the argument that a sensitive reading of the work—conducted with pedagogical mediation and attentive to its aesthetic and historical elements—can significantly contribute to the formation of the responsive reader. This concept, grounded in the philosophy of language of the Bakhtin Circle, refers to the reader who, when engaging with a text, reacts, interprets, takes a stance, and establishes connections between the content and their own social, cultural, and historical reality. The theoretical framework is based primarily on the concepts of dialogism and responsiveness, as developed by Bakhtin (1997), the concept of mediation from Vygotsky (2010), and the notion of semi-formation (Adorno, 2010), all articulated with historical-critical pedagogy (Saviani, 2011), which defends the school’s transformative role and the practice of reading as an emancipatory act. The thesis is structured in five chapters and proposes three axes of mediation for working with the graphic adaptation in the classroom: the dimension of Anne’s family and social relationships; the intertextuality with works of art; and the historical context of the narrative, connected to the ethical dilemmas experienced during the Holocaust. The study concludes that literary adaptations in comic format, such as the one analyzed, can be an effective strategy to foster students’ interest in literary reading— especially when combined with dialogical and reflective pedagogical practices. Moreover, it asserts that the teacher’s mediation is essential to transforming reading into a meaningful and formative aesthetic experience, capable of overcoming the distance many students show toward traditional literature. Finally, the thesis reaffirms the need to invest in public policies that ensure access to high-quality collections in schools, in critical teacher education, and in pedagogical practices that resonate with students’ repertoires—without losing sight of the commitment to the formation of autonomous individuals ethically engaged with social reality

In seeking to understand this phenomenon, the aim of this study was to investigate sports retirement and the career transition of former Brazilian artistic gymnasts to the circus, more specifically, to the Canadian companies Cirque du Soleil and Cavalia. This is a qualitative study, with data collected through semi-structured interviews. The research sample consisted of 12 former gymnasts, over 18 years old, selected through purposive sampling. For data analysis, Thematic Analysis was employed, allowing the identification, organization, analysis, and reporting of patterns within the data through detailed organization and description. Both voluntary and involuntary reasons for retirement were identified, including injuries, being released from clubs, and personal choices. The research also highlighted the complexity of the transition to post-competitive life and the need for adequate support. Many former gymnasts found new opportunities in the circus. The data revealed that intrinsic motivation for joining the circus stemmed from the pursuit of self-fulfillment, learning a new language, the circus lifestyle, leveraging athletic experience, and an appreciation for the arts. Extrinsic motivations included the desire to live abroad, travel opportunities, financial gain, and the influence of close individuals. The transition process to the circus presented challenges that fostered personal and professional growth through more flexible training and increased responsibility as performers. The study emphasizes the importance of ongoing support and evidence-based interventions to ensure the well-being of athletes in their new journeys
- ItemInterações e brincadeiras no ensino de ciências na educação infantil : uma experiência em uma escola da rede municipal de Linhares, Espírito Santo(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2025-06-03) Capellini, Raiane; Orientador1; https://orcid.org/; https://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual; https://orcid.org/; https://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/busca.do; 1º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; https://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/busca.do; 2º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; https://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/busca.doSchools play a fundamental role in the historical and cultural development of students. Science, as it is present in everyday life, can and should be addressed from the first stage of Basic Education: Early Childhood Education. Given the relevance of scientific knowledge, it is necessary to reflect on whether this has, in fact, been provided to young children in the school environment. Considering children as the subject of this research is justified by the need to know, understand and respect their own way of learning. In this sense, it was essential to study the current curricular documents, such as the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), which is nationwide, and the Espírito Santo Curriculum, which is statewide and aligned with the BNCC, which propose teaching for children based on two structuring axes: interactions and play. These axes represent languages specific to childhood, which manifest themselves in a dynamic and inseparable way, allowing children to observe, explore, formulate hypotheses, argue, seek information and prepare syntheses. Thus, this research sought to observe and analyze whether the approach to the field of Science, mediated by moments of interaction and play, is capable of promoting learning and child development. The investigation was carried out with 20 children in a Municipal Early Childhood Education Center in the city of Linhares - ES. The central question was: Did learning and language expansion occur in the field of Science through interactions and play? As a general objective, the proposal was to carry out moments of interaction and play with children aged 4 and 5 and verify the signs of learning and expansion of scientific language. Documentary research and participant observation were used as data collection instruments. For data analysis, Historical-Dialectical Materialism was adopted as the theoretical-methodological approach. The results indicate that learning occurred through moments of interaction and play, favoring dialogue, interaction and the collective construction of knowledge, in addition to fostering the expansion of language

- ItemObtenção de peptídeos com atividades biológicas obtidas a partir das vísceras de tilápia (Oreochromis spp.)(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2025-06-27) Vasconcelos, Antônio Victor Baioco; Co-orientador1; Orientador1; https://orcid.org/; 1º membro da banca; 2º membro da banca; 3º membro da bancaThe intensive production of tilapia (Oreochromis spp.) in Brazil generates large volumes of organic waste, particularly viscera, which are rich in proteins and enzymes and hold biotechnological potential. This study aimed to obtain, fractionate, and characterize bioactive peptides from tilapia viscera, with an emphasis on antioxidant, antimicrobial, and toxicological activities, in alignment with principles of circular economy and sustainable development. Proteins were extracted using organic solvents, desalted by molecular exclusion chromatography (Sephadex G-25), and fractionated by molecular exclusion chromatography (Sephadex G-50), yielding seven peptide fractions (F1 to F7). The antioxidant activity was evaluated by the ABTS•⁺ radical scavenging assay, using Trolox as the standard. Fractions F4, F5, and F6 showed the highest antioxidant capacities (1933.4; 1520.5; and 1546.7 µmol·L⁻¹ Trolox equivalents, respectively), suggesting the presence of low molecular weight peptides enriched in amino acid residues such as tyrosine, tryptophan, and histidine. Toxicological evaluation was performed using larvae of Tenebrio molitor as an alternative in vivo model in compliance with the 3Rs principles. The fractions were injected at three different concentrations (10, 40, and 80 µg), and larval survival was monitored over 120 hours. A binomial generalized linear model (GLM) indicated dose- and time-dependent toxicity. Fractions F4, F5, and F6 were the most toxic (≥ 93.3 % mortality at 80 µg), while F2 showed the lowest toxicity, with mortality remaining below 40 % even at the highest dose. Conversely, none of the peptide fractions exhibited detectable antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, or Pseudomonas aeruginosa under the disc diffusion assay, possibly due to the absence of bactericidal peptides or limitations in compound diffusion through the agar matrix. In conclusion, the tilapia viscera represent a promising source of antioxidant peptides, with fractions F4, F5, and F6 standing out as candidates for further development. The use of T. molitor proved to be a viable alternative model for preliminary toxicity screening. These findings support the valorization of aquaculture by-products as bioactive resources and provide a foundation for developing functional ingredients for the food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetic industries
- ItemReimaginar os desacordos : uma análise dos processos artístico-curatoriais em Dominó Canibal(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2025-05-20) Medina, Michele; Co-orientador1; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Co-orientador2; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Orientador1; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; Orientador2; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; 1º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; 2º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; 3º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; 4º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; 5º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; 6º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; 7º membro da banca; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/Dominó Caníbal (2010), curated by Cuauhtémoc Medina, with the aim of understanding how curatorial choices can transform the exhibition space into a field of negotiation between aesthetic values and political tensions. Based on an analysis of the exhibition experience—understood as a sensitive laboratory in which artworks, environment, and interventions interact—the study proposes a critical reading of curatorship as an active device for the redistribution of the sensible, breaking with traditional narratives and hegemonic consensuses. Grounded in theoretical frameworks that engage with the perspectives of Jacques Rancière, Maria Lind, and other authors who address political aesthetics, the research analyzes how the contemporary curator operates not only in the formal organization of artworks but also in the construction of narratives that challenge the boundaries between the artistic and the political. Using a mixed methodology that combines documentary analysis, interviews, and case studies, the work highlights the relevance of the curator as an agent of cultural mediation. It thus contributes to broadening the debate around critical curatorship and the history of exhibitions, emphasizing its role in contesting structures of power and reconfiguring the practices of perception and experience of art
- ItemSátira política e literatura em cybercharges de Marcio Vaccari (2019-2022)(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2025-07-31) Cesário, Hellen Carla dos Santos; Orientador1; https://orcid.org/; http://lattes.cnpq.br/; https://orcid.org/; 1º membro da banca; 2º membro da bancaThis dissertation investigates how literature – understood from an expanded perspective that encompasses cinema, music, and the visual arts – is incorporated into the construction of critical humor in the cybercharges of Marcio Vaccari, published between 2019 and 2022, amidst a context of political radicalization and social setbacks during the Bolsonaro administration. Rather than merely provoking laughter, these digital productions function as instruments of resistance, using satire as a central strategy to expose the dismantling of public policies and highlight the contradictions of an official discourse marked by intolerance, negligence, and distortion of reality. Through the analysis of a selected corpus of cybercharges that engage with literary works and references, this study seeks to understand how humor intertwines with social criticism, cultural memory, and multimodal language to challenge the present. The research is grounded in a theoretical framework that encompasses reflections on the contemporary political context (Avritzer, 2020 & 2021; Singer, 2018; Castro Rocha, 2021), as well as studies on humor and the grotesque (Bergson, 1987; Propp, 1992; Bakhtin, 1987; Sodré & Paiva, 2002), satire and parody (Moisés, 2004; Hansen, 1990; Hutcheon, 1989), and contributions on political cartoons and their reconfiguration in the digital environment (Miani, 2012; Schwertner & Adolfo, 2020)
