1984, de George Orwell : uma leitura a partir da teoria crítica da sociedade

This work intends to answer how the dystopia 1984, written by George Orwell, can contribute to readers' ability to understand, beyond the surface, contemporary social phenomena. The objective of the research was to reflect on the role of the dystopia literary genre in the formation of critical readers. The hypothesis constituted is that the dystopia literary genre, even if written more than seventy years ago, as is the case in 1984, when describing social organizations characterized by intolerable living conditions, manages to criticize trends in current society, as it invites readers to broaden their reflection on contemporary social phenomena. The methodology is based on a qualitative research perspective, with an interpretative analysis of the book 1984, by George Orwell, based on concepts such as spectacle society and cultural industry, based on dialogue with the tradition of critical theory of society, inaugurated by the Frankfurt Institute for Social Research

Assuming territorial heritage as a complex process, the result of a series of relationships established between physical elements and structuring rules of the territory, it is understood the need to review current strategies for its recognition and operation, as these tend to be understood as it as an inert artifact, disconnected from territorial processes. Therefore, it is considered necessary that the inhabitant, an agent immersed in territorial dynamics, assume the leading role in the operation of territorial heritage. Thus, the aim of this work is to contribute to the discussion and methodological development for the valorization of territorial heritage, based on concepts referring to proactive patrimonialization, disconnected from institutions, through the actions of a projecting community. To this end, the methodological approach of the Italian Territorialist School – ETI is adopted, articulating and expanding conceptual and practical understandings in a transdisciplinary way, between architecture, philosophy and geography. Under a qualitative and descriptive approach, the research methodology is characterized by experimental and participatory actions. The activities linked to the methodological approach intend to analyze proactive patrimonialization as a theoretical and practical procedural conception, develop and experiment a proposal for interaction with a community context in order to identify local processes, considering the values of identity, resource and territorial capital. The interaction is anchored in participant observation, in which the researcher positions himself as an observer of a local reality, in order to investigate it through a direct relationship with the interlocutors, understanding the context of the research and collecting the necessary data to identify attributes that refer to actions linked to the proactive patrimonialization process. In this sense, the work aims to achieve a new interpretation regarding the way of acting on the territory as heritage, contributing to the understanding that the force that moves patrimonialization comes from the subject-place link and the local community project in which it is inserted, through the mobilization of inhabitants around a common objective

This research aims to analyze the relationship between coloniality and the curriculum in a primary school in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim/ES, seeking to map the resistance movements to this form of epistemological domination. The specific objectives were: a) to analyze the school’s Political Pedagogical Project with the aim of identifying the curricular conceptions embedded in the document; b) to investigate teachers’ understanding of the curriculum and coloniality; c) to discuss pedagogical practices that include Afro-Brazilian knowledge; and d) to analyze the curricular movements/practices that take place in the daily life of a municipal school. Therefore, the dissertation discusses how coloniality is present in the school’s daily life, through the lack of a decolonial curriculum that addresses historical issues related to the struggles of Black people and other groups to claim their place in society. To support the analysis of the theme of this research, we drew on authors such as Ferraço (2011), Gallo (2013), Silva (2022), Quijano (2007; 2010), Walsh (2007, 2009, 2015), Mignolo (2005), and others. The choice of these theorists allows us to deepen our understanding of coloniality, encompassing its influence on Education, specifically in the school curriculum. In this research, we observed that discussions about Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous cultures are rare in schools, despite being an extremely relevant subject that impacts several aspects of students’ lives. To support this work, we adopted a qualitative research approach, specifically the cartographic intervention-research methodology. Thus, the analysis took place throughout the research, during data production, and in dialogue with theoretical interlocutors. The subjects involved in the research were 21 students from the 2nd-year morning class and 13 school teachers, including the school administrator and the pedagogues. For data production, we used tools such as observation, field notes, conversation networks, and document analysis. The analysis of the school’s Political Pedagogical Project indicated that this document needs to be revised for its functionality to be effective. However, we also observed the absence of curricular planning aimed at building decolonial practices, as well as some resistance movements that occur individually by teachers and students. The conversation networks revealed a diverse understanding of what the curriculum is, but there is a consensus among teachers that the curriculum must respect students’ realities and that there is always something that needs to be expanded. When analyzing the data produced in the conversation networks, we identified specific clues pointing to the intention of implementing a decolonial curriculum in the school. We also observed a desire among the teachers to implement a decolonial approach in the school, on the condition that it stems from collective planning and is developed at the beginning of the year. Moreover, during the research process, we mapped teaching movements opposing the imposition of the BNCC (Common National Curricular Base). The study, therefore, highlights the lack of implementation of Laws No. 10.639/03 and No. 11.645/08 in the participating public school, in the construction of new practices against a “whitened” curriculum. Thus, we observed the presence of racism in the school’s daily life, but some resistance movements are taking place, albeit sporadically. Finally, we verified the need for initial and continuing teacher education within an educational policy aimed at a decolonial curriculum

Stimulating curiosity, reflection, and critical analysis to investigate causes, formulate hypotheses, and solve problems based on scientific knowledge presents a promising approach to addressing the challenges encountered in high school teaching and learning, particularly in the context of teaching arthropods. This topic poses challenges for both teachers and students, necessitating the use of varied methodological approaches, such as the implementation of investigative strategies, to facilitate the educational process. This research aimed to analyze the impact of an investigative didactic sequence, applied in a non-formal educational setting, on the learning of arthropods. The study resulted in the development of a pedagogical guide for teachers, designed to support the teaching of this content. The methodology involved the creation and application of an investigative didactic sequence, focused on the systematics and classification of arthropods, with 24 third-year high school students at a lagoon in Linhares, ES. The sequence included observation activities, specimen collection, classification, and reflection on scientific criteria, utilizing the lagoon as a non-formal learning space. The findings indicated that students' prior knowledge was limited to the morphology of arthropods. However, by the end of the didactic sequence, most students were able to accurately classify arthropods, showing increased motivation and interest in learning, thereby underscoring the effectiveness of investigative activities in the construction of scientific knowledge

Mathematics is present in the most varied educational, social and professional fields. Its use as a tool, teaching area or methodology can be seen in the resolution of everyday problems or in the development of technology throughout history. This research aimed to present the contributions of Mathematics in the most diverse possible professions, illustrating some meanings for contents that is currently taught up to the 1st year of high school in the state public school system. Through research, it was possible to highlight how Mathematics is inserted in some professions selected by the participants. After applying an initial questionnaire, preparing the work on Mathematics and Professions and data collection through a final questionnaire about this context, the students realized that Mathematics is in fact inserted in the professional scope, in careers that they did not imagine that its use would be important

The theme presented in this work is related to the special education policy and its interfaces in areas of Settlements in the Municipality of Pinheiros - MST/ES and aims to investigate how the interface between special education and basic education occurs in a elementary school. in the municipality of Pinheiros from the perspective of inclusive education, understanding the limits and possibilities for guaranteeing access, permanence and continuity for the public linked to this modality in the school where the research occurred. Qualitative in nature, the study's methodological strategy is the systematization of experiences, mediated by militant research, with dialectics as an epistemological path. The theoretical support is anchored in the theoretical-methodological foundations of authors such as: Mantoan (2003), Padilha (2007), Nunes (2009), Freire (1987, 1996,1997), Ponzo (2009) Caldart (1997, 2002) , among others. The scope of the research is a elementary school linked to the Movimento Sem Terra/MST and bibliographical, documentary and field research will be used as methodological procedures. The MST in ES recognizes the need to deepen and expand this debate in the training spaces for educators, in the settlement where the schools are located in order to qualify the educational experiences developed, including the inclusion actions of people with special needs, which can mean guaranteeing the right to education for these subjects. The insertion of this theme seeks to involve subjects (families, educators, students) in their praxis with the purpose of establishing dialogue with other spaces of struggle, with the aim of contributing to the construction of a fair society with equal opportunities for all people

This dissertation consists of an investigation guided by the following question: Could the Full-Time Elementary Schools Program, proposed by the Espírito Santo Business Movement in Action and the Cariacica Business Association (AEC) in partnership with the Cariacica Department of Education, have implications for the democratic management of education? In order to answer this question, the general objective was to examine the privatization strategy of public basic education in the municipality of Cariacica and its implications for guaranteeing the principle of democratic management of education in full-time elementary schools. The research timeframe was seven years (2017–2023), and the locus was in the municipal education network of Cariacica. The methodological approach, of a qualitative nature, occurred through bibliographical and documentary research and semi-structured interviews. Documentary research was used as the main methodological path for collecting and analyzing data that allowed answering the central question of this dissertation, involving, among others, reports, federal, state and municipal laws, decrees, technical cooperation agreements, contracts, notebooks ICE, websites of for-profit and non-profit organizations of private actors mapped. A mapping of educational programs, projects and actions in force between 2017 and 2023 that are being developed by private actors in public basic education in the municipality of Cariacica was carried out. Among the programs/projects listed, the Full-Time Elementary Schools Program was characterized and its implications for the democratic management of education were analyzed. As a final product of this research, an online and asynchronous training proposal was developed, the theme of which is the privatization of public basic education and the implications for democratic management. The results of the analyzes demonstrate that there is an intensification of the privatization processes of public basic education in the researched municipality, as well as the Full-Time Elementary Schools Program, in its implementation, disrespected democratic principles, when the collegiate bodies were not listened to and contributed moving away from democratic management, adopting a business model management, guided by managerialist principles

Introduction: Obesity leads to a state of chronic inflammation, characterized by an increase in inflammatory cytokines and infiltration of immune cells in adipose tissue, which can contribute to cellular dysfunction. Phase Angle (PA) is a non-invasive measurement derived from electrical bioimpedance, which has been associated with cellular integrity and metabolic health, and may therefore reflect inflammatory changes in response to weight loss induced by bariatric surgery. Objective: To evaluate the relationship between phase angle and parameters indicative of inflammatory status in patients undergoing bariatric surgery. Methodology: Prospective, observational study carried out with 23 volunteer patients from the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Program at a University Hospital. Participants were assessed at three points in time: preoperatively, approximately one month before surgery (T0) and postoperatively, approximately the 2nd (T1) and 6th (T2) months after surgery. Body weight, BMI, waist circumference (WC), fat mass (FF), fat-free mass (FFM), % weight loss, PA, serum concentrations of C-Reactive Protein (CRP), acid alpha-1-glycoprotein (AGP), adiponectin, Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha (TNF-α) and resistin were analyzed. The data was statistically analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences - SPSS, version 21.0. The Shapiro-Wilk test was applied to test the normality of the data, analysis of variance for repeated measures (ANOVA or Friedman test) and Spearman or Pearson correlations between PA and biochemical parameters and body parameters. A significance level of p<0.05 was adopted. Results: There was a significant reduction in body weight, BMI, MG, GLM, WC and PA over the time points, with different values for body weight, BMI, WC and MG between the time points (p<0.001). The percentage of weight loss was higher at T2 (p<0.001). All the biochemical parameters evaluated decreased significantly over the time points, with serum concentrations of AGP, CRP and resistin decreasing at T1 (p<0.05), while serum concentration of TNF-α decreased only at T2 (p<0.05). Serum adiponectin concentration increased from T1 onwards (p<0.001).A negative correlation was observed between variations in serum adiponectin concentrations and variations in PA values throughout the study (r=-0.480, p=0.027) and a negative correlation between serum adiponectin concentration and BMI (r=-0.264, p=0.038) and MG (r=-0.277, p=0.029) values, regardless of time. A positive correlation between serum TNF-α concentrations and BMI (r=0.338, p=0.004) and MG (r=0.335, p=0.004) values was also observed, as was the presence of a positive correlation between serum resistin concentration and MG values (r=0.245, p=0.042). Conclusion: The data suggest that smaller reductions in PA may be associated with an improved anti-inflammatory state during weight loss after BS.

The Code of Civil Procedure of 2015 updated the rules concerning compulsory appeal, bringing about important innovations in this legal instrument, especially with regard to the limits of procedural prerogatives. This paper aims to discuss compulsory appeal under the new CCP, in order to demonstrate specifically that the legislator’s choice to determine their unsuitability in cases with sentences that reproduce binding guidelines signed under the administrative aegis of the public entity involved in the litigation (Art. 496, par. 4) allows for the compatibility between the aforementioned legal instrument and the jurisdictional control exercised by public attorneys over legal action practiced by the Brazilian Administration, which also encompasses the framework of rights and interests presented in court by public authorities that disregard the law, as interpreted and applied by the jurisprudence of Brazilian courts. The problem presented by the previous legal regime was that taking a case back to court – as mandated by compulsory appeal, even when public authorities found themselves in favor of the plaintiff’s case (by withholding all appeals and defense, recognizing the plaintiff’s complaint, celebrating agreements, etc.) – prevented the lawsuit’s successful resolution in the first instance, which hampered the efficacy of public attorneys’ jurisdictional control in their litigative duties. This issue seems to have been corrected by the CCP of 2015, specifically by Article 496, paragraph 4, item IV, which bars the use of compulsory appeal in returning a case to court over sentences that overturn the legal arguments made by the public attorneys, thus allowing for a dispute’s resolution in the first instance

Research on creativity and psychological safety has demonstrated its importance in the development of teamwork, highlighting how various factors can contribute to or inhibit the generation and implementation of ideas in problem solving. Although recent studies address these aspects, it is still necessary to understand how team members influence each other in the creative process. To fill this gap, the study aimed to understand the contribution of psychological safety considering the initial stage of creativity, the generation of ideas, as well as the exchange of ideas within the work team. The theoretical basis is based on studies that deal with creativity and psychological safety, forming robust content for analyzing the data obtained. To achieve this purpose, an empirical study was conducted in the obstetric unit of a public hospital, following the routine of the work team. Data collection involved participant observation and interviews with 24 members of the multidisciplinary team, including obstetricians, anesthesiologists and neonatologists, obstetrics residents, nurses and nursing technicians. The results highlight the challenges of professional interconnection, showing the need to maintain a climate of psychological safety modified by changes in team members and resident turnover, negatively impacting team interaction. Furthermore, the amount of time residents spend with the team helps build trust. Furthermore, the lack of psychological safety was noticeable both among team members and leaders, evidenced by difficulties in communication and acceptability of ideas by residents. The findings also reveal interpersonal conflicts, ineffective communication, hiding and devaluation of ideas. These contexts revealed the importance of training leaders to be able to minimize the negative aspects of professional interconnection challenges, and make beneficial use of this annual insertion of residents as new team members bringing new ideas

The Life History Theory is based on the assumption that the resources required fordevelopment are scarce and therefore, organisms face tradeoffs in deciding how they will usethese resources. One of the tradeoffs involves deciding whether to invest in quantitative orqualitative reproductive strategy. There are indications that this decision is related to thepredictability of resources during childhood. While the perception of predictability would leadto a qualitative strategy, the perception of unpredictability would lead to a quantitativestrategy. In short, quantitative reproductive strategies would be related to initiating sexualactivity earlier and maintaining short-term love relationships, more children, and less parentalinvestment. Qualitative reproductive strategies relate to initiating later sex life, having fewerchildren, and greater parental investment (Davis & Werre, 2008). The objective of thisresearch was to evaluate the unpredictability beliefs and intention to achieve future milestonesof adolescents enrolled in public schools in the city of Vitória, ES. The sample comprised 96participants (67 girls and 29 boys) students from municipal schools of Vitória, ES, enrolled inthe 6th and 7th grades, whose mean age was 12 years (Min = 11, Max = 14, SD = 0.9). Datawere tabulated and processed using IBM SPSS Statistics, version 20. Descriptive analyzes(mean, standard deviation, percentage, and frequency) were made for each of the measuredvariables. The differences between the schools in which the collections were made forsociodemographic and scalar variables were analyzed through Mann-Whitney analyzes. Thecorrelation between family unpredictability in childhood and continuous sociodemographicvariables and the expectations of the future of adolescents were evaluated using Spearman'scorrelation analysis. The differences between the pre and post intervention measures wereevaluated using Wilcoxon analysis. The perception of family unpredictability in adolescents' childhood was significantly related to some variables evaluated. Adolescents who reportedhaving separate parents had significantly (Mann-Whitney U = 785.0 p = .01) higherperception of financial unpredictability during childhood (M = 2,5) than those who reportedhaving no separate parents (M = 2,1)…

This thesis aims to carry out a critical analysis of the overexploitation of the labor force, fundamental to the Marxist Theory of Dependence. As this analytical category has become increasingly frequent in left-wing debates, research, and movements, considering its potential for the apprehension of Brazilian reality is essential to those who envision revolutionary praxis. By scrutinizing the criticisms of overexploitation and resorting to classic authors of the debate on national formation – Caio Prado Jr., Florestan Fernandes and Celso Furtado -, it is clear that there are relevant elements to be considered, especially the fact that the colonial and slave-owning past establish, here, particularities with regard to the class regime, the dynamics of the class struggle, the constitution and the value of labor power. Thus, recovering the elements of the past, which are still being reconfigured in contemporary Brazil, at the same time that the perspective of national formation is regated, allows a questioning of super exploitation category itself, as well as prospecting an analysis that rests on the concrete reality of our history and the class struggle aimed at here

Natural disasters have become increasingly frequent. On January 17, 2020, the city of Iconha, located in the south of Espírito Santo, suffered the biggest flood of all time, causing significant damage, and leaving 1,919 people left their home, 58 homeless and 4 dead COMPEC (2022). The objective of this work was to evaluate the intensities of sub-daily rainfall occurring in the region of Iconha/ES, compare with the precipitation, duration and frequency curves of the rain gauge station with daily data and generate the hydrograph of the flood of the Iconha river, through the transformation model rain on grid with two-dimensional hydrodynamic flow, considering the rain incident in the river basin varying in time and space through the inverse square distance interpolation method. The information and records confirmed the good security of the model and together with the result of the simulated hydrograph, the existence of distortions in the maximum flow monitoring data from the Iconha River Fluviometric Station was confirmed. Therefore, it is recommended not to use these data for studies of maximum flows, especially with high periods of returns, and it is suggested to use a flood spot and a simulated flow model for adoption in future studies and projects

Pregnancy resulting from sexual violence is a serious public health issue in Brazil, and legal abortion is one of its possibilities. Access to this right comes up against barriers such as blaming the victim for the violence and doctors refusing to perform abortions, claiming conscientious objection due to the stigmas associated with sexual violence and their RS on abortion. As it deals with the circulation of social thought in certain groups, it is understood that SRT is pertinent to studying the abortion stigma that permeates the work of doctors who deal with legal abortion. The aim here is to find out the SR about legal abortion of pregnancies resulting from sexual violence for gynecologists and obstetricians, based on their practices in relation to conscientious objection. Two complementary studies were carried out. The first, with a documentary design, observational nature and descriptive quantitative approach, outlined the sociodemographic profile of pregnant patients seen at a referral service for cases of sexual violence. The second, with an analytical qualitative approach, aimed to find out the SR on abortion for gynecologists and obstetricians, based on conscientious objection, and their understanding of the risk factors for sexual violence. Study I showed a prevalence of black, young, single women with low levels of schooling, who had been raped by men they knew in a domestic environment, and who sought the service spontaneously after discovering their pregnancy and deciding to have an abortion. The results of Study II showed a tendency to blame the victim for the violence suffered, through moral and religious judgments, and that conscientious objection occurred as a form of punishment for the patients, based on the shared SR of abortion as a crime and a sin. We also conclude that there is a relationship between the SR formed about abortion and social thinking about the black population, reflecting the mistrust and lack of recognition of black women as the group most affected by sexual violence

Breast cancer has high prevalence among women and major effects on the body and on the psychological and psychosocial domains. The participation in support groups and in self-help groups is a traditional coping strategy to deal with problems associated to diseases and its treatments. With technological innovations, especially the internet and the virtual communities, new forms of seeking help through group participation appear. The objective of the present research was to understand the meanings attributed by women with breast cancer diagnosis to the experience of participating in a breast cancer-related online support group. In order to achieve that goal, we investigated an online support group based on Facebook. The method included two procedures to gather data: a) a compilation of a number of publications on the website (Facebook timeline) made by women who participated in the online support group and of the answers to those publications. We collected 200 publications and 660 answers; b) semi structured interviews based on an open set of questions conducted with four women participants in the online group, including the founder of the group and one of its administrators. We analyzed the publications and the answers collected on the website with the software IRAMUTEQ, and the answers to the semi-structured interviews with Thematic Content Analysis. The results obtained with the publications show two major axes: on one hand, the participants formulated “requests of information and of experiences descriptions” about surgeries, effects of the treatment on the body, diagnostic, and about the cancer as an “unknown element”. On the other hand, they requested encouragement with messages related to religious beliefs. Regarding the answers to the publications, the main axes were “the knowledge and the actors of the treatment”, highlighting the physician and the chemotherapy, and “beliefs and motivation”, highlighting religiousness and the motivation to deal with the cancer. The analysis of the interviews revealed that the following meanings (Themes) were relevant to the motivation to join the group and to keep participating in it: the “emotional condition” that the women experience when they find out about the cancer, described as a “shock”; the need to receive information and to exchange experiences which allow to cope better with side effects of treatment and with anxiety; the inexistence or the inadequacy of the face-to-face support groups; the insufficiency of the information transmitted by physicians and by other health professionals, and the need of emotional support from people who were living the same experience. We discuss that those factors allow the participant to elaborate the beliefs and the feelings that they are not alone, that they are not the only ones to face cancer and that the cancer is not necessarily a “death sentence”, but rather a disease that can be treated. The participants perceived the medical knowledge to be important and “true” but also “insufficient” to cope with the experience of cancer and its treatment. They perceived the knowledge of the other participants about cancer to be very important and to be a knowledge validated by experience. We conclude that the online support group was able to provide constant help and constitutes a valuable complementary tool for the treatment of breast cancer

This work seeks to analyse the rescission action based on subsequent unconstitutionality decision by the Federal Supreme Court which is in art. 525, § 15 and art. 535, §8º, Code of Civil Procedure, searching to analyse its interpretative and temporal limits. To achieve this goal, it was searched to identify the contemporanious dimesions of legal certainty, which is not a principle based on an all-or-nothing idea, but that brings a requirement of calculability, reliability and knowability. Given this dimesions of legal certainty, it was identified how they are related with res judicata, especially with regard to preclusive efficacy. After this, it was studied the atipycal relativization of “unconstitutional res judicata” theory, to investigate how the unconstitutionality and the res judicata are related, and also the repercussions that this doctrinal current had on legislation. It was also investigated how do the effects of the unconstitutionality decision operates in in the Brazilian legal system, as well if there is any constitutional obstacle to the establishment of a hypothesis of rescission action based on a subsequent decision of the Federal Supreme Court. After these analyses, the interpretative limits of the rescission action of art. 525, §15 and 535, §8º, Code of Civil Procedure were properly investigated, ocasion in which it was proposed an interpretative possibility that was in line with the principle of legal certainty, limiting its scope of incidence. Finally, it was analysed how the effects modulation influences in this rescission action, as well the possibility that this techinic may be used not only by the Federal Supreme Court, but also by the ordinary court that makes the judgment of the rescission demand based on subsequent unconstitutionality decision

Abdominal adiposity is a public health challenge that affects public safety personnel exposed to high levels of stress. This complex interaction between psychological and social factors can trigger adverse responses in the body, with a significant impact on quality of life. The main objective of this study was to evaluate abdominal adiposity and investigate its association with food consumption, stress levels, biochemical variables as well as quality of life in public security agents. This is a cross-sectional study carried out with 216 public safety personnel in the state of Espírito Santo. To assess symptoms of stress, food consumption and quality of life, the Stress Symptom Inventory (ISSL), the Food Consumption Frequency Questionnaire (QFCA) and the WHOQOL-bref were used, respectively. Statistical analyzes included chi-square tests, Mann Whitney tests, Poisson regression and multiple regression models (95% CI). There was a prevalence of overweight among public safety personnel (67.8%). It was observed that agents with a higher body mass index (BMI) had an increased prevalence of abdominal adiposity, indicating a significant association between these variables (PR: 3,35 [IC95%: 3,4-5,52; p=0,001]). Furthermore, those with greater adherence to the consumption of ultra-processed foods also showed a higher prevalence of abdominal adiposity(PR: 1,68 [IC95%: 1,51- 2,47] p=0,007. Stress symptoms were associated with a 64% increase in the risk of greater abdominal adiposity, while greater adherence to ultra-processed foods demonstrated a 10% increase in the risk of abdominal adiposity. These results highlight a bidirectional relationship between stress and abdominal adiposity, highlighting the importance of stress and the consumption of ultra processed foods in increasing the risk of abdominal adiposity. Such factors can have metabolic and systemic impacts, resulting in a deterioration in the quality of life of these professionals, highlighting the urgency of interventions in this population

This thesis develops from this question: how the science education can contribute to awareness, aiming to the humanization and overcome of underdevelopment? We assume Álvaro Vieira Pinto and Paulo Freire as theorical lens to discuss Scientific Literacy (SC) conceptions, the background of teachers training to SC and some challengers to science teaching that considers the national reality. The thesis that we advocate is: teachers training and scientific education should be an awareness process about the teaching profession and the science education committed to overcome the underdevelopment and the humanization. We forged the concept of humanizing scientific literacy (HSC) as an educational goal and guide to teachers training and work, highlighting the inquiry based teaching (IBT) like a basis of investigative praxis. We assumed HSC as a training pre-project to create and implement a formative process aims to understand the awareness development of participants. We realized a training-research in the second semester of 2022, using the narrative presuppositions to contemplate internal and external ways of formation. It has been done in the supervised practice of biological sciences' teacher preparation course, with 11 students. For the data lifting, we used: record the audio of classes; the students produced reports, memorial and plans for science teaching; field diary of trainers; discussions in the WhatsApp group; and course documents. We used the Scene understanding to qualitatively interpret the narratives of students. The scenes show the course elaboration process, considering the totality of conditionate factors as the return of presential teaching; few days to teaching in the schools; the electoral contest; and the football world’s cup. We faced the contradictory background of be and not to be a good moment to do the HSC in the initial teachers training. In the course history, the classes had been a high political level. We observed: the shaped of social sensibility for the problems of national reality; the critical reading of scholar reality; and a collective work to face the challenge of study and create IBT lessons. The pedagogical mediation of trainers had been attentive to context challenges and helped the construction of investigative praxis locus. The reports analyses show the idiosyncratic character of awareness. Each participant related the HSC and IBT presuppositions with own socio-historical basis. We understand that HSC is a viable pre-project to teachers training and hope more trainers using it in all steps of teachers training

Durante el año 2021, y solo hasta el mes de septiembre, en Colombia se han contado más de 57.000 desplazados de forma violenta desde sus territorios1 . Este fenómeno se ha venido presentando desde mitad del siglo XX, sin embargo, a pesar del reciente acuerdo de paz entre las FARC-EP2 y el Gobierno del Presidente Juan Manuel Santos, el fenómeno se ha intensificado. Esto nos lleva a pensar en los motivos por los cuales el conflicto ha durado más de 50 años, y la respuesta podría encontrarse en expresiones literarias como Siervo Sin Tierra (1950), del autor colombiano Eduardo Caballero Calderón. Con el objetivo de entender la naturaleza, el surgimiento y la duración de este conflicto, encontramos una obra brasilera llamada Ana Sem Terra (1990) del autor Alcy Cheuiche. En ella, también se relata un conflicto violento que termina trágicamente, y cuyos orígenes pueden tener cierta relación con el conflicto colombiano a pesar de sus particularidades. Para entenderlo, haremos un análisis de las dos obras en torno al Realismo Estético. Adicionalmente, estaremos apoyándonos en M. Heidegger y R. Espósito para entender la relación de la tierra con quien la posee y la función de la misma como cosa, razón por la cual se torna en motivo de disputa. Como resultado, la relación entre ambas obras puede ser el punto de partida para abordajes integradores de la realidad latinoamericana en torno a sus conflictos sociales explicando su duración, origen y naturaleza.
Análise da influência das tensões residuais na variação do comportamento do ruído magnético de Barkhausen em arames utilizados em dutos flexíveis

Flexible pipelines are used in the oil industry to transport oil and gas, being considered an advantageous option for the challenges encountered in the exploration of deeper areas, such as the pre-salt. These ducts are made up of different layers, including the traction reinforcement, made up of steel wires, which are responsible for resisting traction, compression and radial loads applied to this component. Due to the application of complex stress modules, their failure modes can become unpredictable, therefore, verify their integrity becomes essential. The use of electromagnetic techniques presents itself as a good method for the non-destructive evaluation of these materials. The present work aims to present information that makes it possible to understand the influence of residuals stress on the behavior of Barkhausen magnetic noise. To do this, the residuals stress in the flexible tubes will be tested and correlated with the rotational parameters of the Barkhausen magnetic noise and the envelope behavior of this same method. To this end, in the experimental stage, the residual stress will be proven, using the hole drilling method, in the direction of bending transverse, bending and 45º bending transversal. Next, the Barkhausen magnetic noise rotation test will be carried out at frequencies of 50 Hz and 125 Hz. After the experimental part, the RMS parameters and the Barkhausen magnetic noise envelope will be analyzed and correlated with the variation in residual stress. It is worth mentioning that with plastic deformation there is the development of crystalline anisotropy, which also directly influences the results collected. Note that the rotational RMS presents a more objective characterization of crystalline anisotropy, while the Barkhausen magnetic noise envelope presents a better understanding of the residual stress variation in the tested samples but is a challenge to separating the influence of residuals stress in the envelope of magnetic noise in materials that present crystalline anisotropy
