In this environment there is a digital agent (or bot) that uses communication strategies to assist the interlocutors in the understanding of messages in foreign languages, and may also define technical terms, regionalisms and expressions according to dictionaries and services used. The environment resources were focused on synchronous interactions, but can also be used in asynchronous interactions with some adaptations. In addition to supporting such communication between speakers of different languages, interactions are stored for research on the effects of agents, strategies, and resources on communication

- ItemApoio computacional para a mediação pedagógica em debate de teses(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-04-29) Panceri, Sabrina Siqueira; Menezes, Crediné Silva de; Cury, Davidson; Magalhaes Netto, Jose Francisco deThe advent of digital culture has brought new possibilities of interaction and communication between users, promoting the increase of these exchanges and also the increase of the data produced by them. Following this new perspective, interactions in virtual environments for teaching and learning are recorded to enable the teacher to (re)visit the areas and productions of each student seeking information to help them in various ways. Architectures Pedagogic present as a possibility of organizing these interactions, especially Pedagogical Architecture "Debate of Theses" which proposes a flow of interactions, performed by producing texts, to support the construction of knowledge of those who participate. However, analyzing this significant volume of information shows up as a challenge for the teacher. In view of this, we carried out a survey of educational mediations that can be performed along with the Pedagogical Architecture "Debate of Theses". To facilitate the implementation of these mediations, we elaborated a proposal for computer support, based on a multi-agent system architecture, in order to support the teacher in the analysis of the information produced in the proposed interactions for Pedagogical Architecture "Debate of Theses" in order to provide that the identified pedagogical mediations are practiced. The validation of the proposal is to implement the computational prototype of the solution, and application of this prototype to a real case for data collection. The collected data were analyzed and the results obtained from this analysis provide evidence that the proposed solution provides grants to improve the process of pedagogical mediation with the Pedagogical Architecture "Debate of Theses".
- ItemUm ambiente para construção de perfis a partir de textos pessoais(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2012-08-28) Baldan, Maikson Adalto; Menezes, Crediné Silva de; Tavares, Orivaldo de Lira; Castro Júnior, Alberto Nogueira deThe proposed starting point is the modeling and implementation of a tool to acquire characteristics of users from the processing of their productions. The approach is to be given the use of techniques for natural language processing to identify progressive personal characteristics for the composition profile. The atmosphere consists of a set of rules which are applied on Natural Language Processing (PLN) to construct the profile. The procedures for the PLN delimit the type of feature is of interest to the composition and the composition profile of a knowledge base modeled by first-order logic, created with the purpose of supporting the personal identification features that are implicit in the production individual. This knowledge base is built and queried by a multi-agent system (SMA). The SMA uses this basis to achieve clarification of doubts, these doubts have arisen during the processing of individual productions that could not be remedied with language processing. The SMA requires the basis to identify personal characteristics implicit in individual productions. The purpose of the tool is to identify personal characteristics of users who use the environment Morpheus (MENEZES, 2008), and the notion of flexibility in what they propose Morpheus, allowing it to be used for many did, making it necessary to obtain personal characteristics as well as flexible. This flexibility is restricted specifications of the rules of PLN and the logic of first order.
