    This paper presents the primary concepts of length and areas. The purpose of this is to contribute to the process of teaching and learning geometry in basic school. Thus, some demonstrations were elaborated so that the students of the basic education can understand the geometry beyond the school activities in the mathematics discipline, and then, the better explore their concepts and relationships with the world around them.

    Otimização em grafos no ensino básico

    This work aims to present the number of graphs students in a more accessible and lower level of basic education. Theory of Graphs is a subject that is not presented formally in basic education in Brazil, but has a great facility in solving some problems related to Discrete Mathematics. In addition, Graph Theory is one of the main bases for computer programming. The work had an overview about graphs and some correlated concepts. Introduce Euler's Theorem, the paper discusses the trees and a count of trees. Subsequently, the work brings a discussion about tree optimization.

    O software X-LOGO no ensino e aprendizado de matemática

    This dissertation addresses topics related to the practice of computing in education, interpretation and production of commands that relate programming logic to mathematical content. We discussed the importance of computer science in education and the benefits it can bring to the classroom, if used properly. We approach the X-LOGO software, its potentialities, limitations and some precautions that we must take when using it in Mathematics classes. We conjecture mathematical models in the program and justify some results found. We worked on the primitives and commands of this software with logical procedures that we did. We create logical procedures that add odd numbers; add natural numbers; identify whether or not a natural number is prime through its divisors; we also create procedures that use the Heron Method to approximate square roots; which construct regular polygons through recursion; that calculate the MDC of two numbers using the Euclidean Algorithm; generate palindromes (cap´icuas) also by recursive algorithm; identify the Inequalities of Averages in a circle of any radius. We also used the program to study Triangle Inequality from conjectures, as did the Ford Tangent Circles. Some of the themes we deal with with special attention, working more examples, making proofs of the conjectures using the Principle of Mathematical Induction to justify.

    Ensino de geometria e perspectiva: um olhar pelas fotografias

    This research brings elements of Projective Geometry to a classroom of the 3rd year of High School, through photographs and art. For this, we present a historical report since the 5th postulate of Euclides and its most varied attempts made for anothers mathematicians to show this unsucessfully, passing for criations of new geometric concepts, until come on the actual days with the formalization of these geometries. We also look at official documents about the teaching of a new geometry in the basic education of the state of Espírito Santo (ES). We applied the didactic sequence in an ES state school and analyzed the impacts on the students’ learning, concluding that the classroom discussion and the students' own artistic production may have facilitated the understanding of the mathematical topics worked in the classes.

    O Estudo de Probabilidade no Ensino Médio

    The purpose of this paper is to show the student the importance of probability in everyday life. Firstly, a survey was made of students' prior knowledge of probability. Next, the historical aspects of probability and geometric probability were discussed. The next step was to construct the concepts and definitions of probability, analyzed several problems were, whose solutions were constructed with the intervention of the teacher, inducing the students to think and rethink these basic concepts. Then, a didactic sequence was applied on the subject probability, with the perspective of producing meaningful and contextualized learning. Finally, a written evaluation was applied on the topics addressed in the work.
