Resumo
The increase in crack use leads to devastating consequences related to biological, psychological and social order, besides damaging the relationship between the user, his family and community. Therefore, the systematic approach to the crack user is responsibility of the team of professionals, especially nurses, requiring the use of nursing theories. Thus, this study goal was to propose a care strategy for crack users, through the Nursing Care System (SAE, in Portuguese), based on Model Systems Betty Neuman. It is a descriptive and exploratory case study, in a qualitative approach, based on the Neuman Model, realized on Psychosocial Care Center - Alcohol and Drugs (CAPSad) of Vitória, having as subject a crack user chosen at random among the 50 subjects in a multicenter study. The data collection was performed by a Psychology student, with participation of the researcher. Were applied the crack consumption pattern questionnaire, the Dependence Severity Scale - ASI6, the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview - MINI Plus and the Parental Bonding Instrument. It was used the terminology NANDA-NIC-NOC as a basis to link diagnoses, interventions and results. Were sought, in light of the model, to identify the biological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual and development related variables, considering the data collection made. Results: the study has allowed to see the complexity that surrounds situations relating to intra, inter and extrapersonal stressors. Lack of knowledge about the control of the substances use, the crack use and the homeless situation are some of main stressors, among the 25 identified. Given this, 15 diagnoses were found and interventions were suggested, considering the internal, external and created from the patient environments, considering primary and secondary prevention. Thus, were conclude that nurses' actions in the face of stressors should focus on resource mobilization system - both internal and external - for stabilization and conservation of energy, in order to strengthen the resistance lines and also prevent them from invading. The SAE, based on Neuman becomes a possibility and valuable tool despite the challenges of the theme.
