Resumo
In the production of forest changes some factors influence the germination and the development of the species, being distinguished the substrates and the luminosity. Studies on the germination and quality of the seeds are if utmost importance to know the characteristics of propagation of each species, favoring the research and the work with these. The present work had as objective to evaluate the physiological quality of seeds of canudo de pito (Mabea fistulifera Mart.) and the quality of the changes produced for these seeds in different substrates under the influence of four levels of luminosity. All work was lead in the Laboratory of Seeds and house of vegetation in the CCA/UFES in the Alegre-ES city. The seeds used for the accomplishment of this work had been collected in existing matrices in the region of the Caparaó-ES. Initially 30 ºC was made the heating of the fruits to promote the dehiscence and removal of the seeds. Later it was made the improvement, cleanness and separation of the damaged, immature seeds. The seeds had been analyzed physically by the weight of a thousand seeds, number of seeds for kilo and its water text. The seeds had been submitted to the test of germination with substrata and varied temperatures. The used substrates: on paper, paper coil, between sand, on sand and in commercial substratum, temperatures of 20, 25, 30, 35, 20-30 and 25-35 °C, in BOD. The evaluation was made and had been daily calculated: index of speed, average time and relative frequency of germination. The delineation was IC in factorial project 5X6, with four repetitions. In the accelerated aging, the seeds had been kept in BOD 41, 43 and 45 ºC and UR of 100% for 0, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours, using themselves distilled water and NaCl, later sown in plates of Petri with Germitest paper, in BOD 30 ºC. They had been evaluated germination, first counting of germination, average time and relative frequency of germination, and index of germination speed. The delineation was IC in factorial project 2x3x5, with four repetitions. For the production of changes the seeds had been sown in sand and 30 after the germination, seedling had been 30 days transplanted for bag contends substrata: soil+biosolido; soil+send+manure and commercial substratum. The shading levels had been: Full sun; covering with a screen; with two screens and three screens. The ground used was the corrected eutrófico red Argissolo with calcareous rock up to 60% of saturation of the bases. They had been evaluated the diameter I collect of it, the final number of plants, the foliar area, the length of the roots and the cool mass and dries of the aerial part and the roots. It was calculates the relation has broken aerial/system to radicle, relation has broken aerial/diameter I collect of it, index of quality of Dickson (IQD) and texts of chlorophyll. The delineation is IC in parcels subdivided, with four repetitions with six plants. The averages of the treatments had been compared by the test of Tukey (p < 0,05). The results of the germination test had shown that the test of germination in substratum on paper the 30 ºC provided to one better condition seeds to germinate them, with good index of speed of germination and average time of next germination the 14 days. For the accelerated aging, one noticed that the periods of exposition of 72 h the 43 ºC with use of solution saturated of the NaCl and 43 ºC for 48h with use of solution saturated of NaCl had not been the adjusted ones for evaluation of the physiological potential of seeds of canudo de pito. The production of changes evidenced that the subculturing of seedlings for development of the changes in full sun was harmful for the survival of these in all the substrata, being that the substratum soil+send+manure provided better conditions of development of the changes when submitted to the shading. The increase in the shading level favored the addition of chlorophyll in relation to carotenoids
