Resumo
The work presented here is an attempt to understand and situate the thought of Jose Ortega y Gasset (1883-1955) in the field of political ideas. To this end, it contemplates his political and philosophical thinking well as his theory of history. Interested in more closely their conceptions of history, politics and nation. Reflecting on the problems of his time, his country and his world, Ortega y Gasset devoted much of his writing to reflect on art, philosophy and politics. Although constantly labeled as having a conservative discourse, he defines himself a liberal. There is a significant strain around his political writings. Notwithstanding the author speak in terms of a new liberalism, we find in his writings referrals cloudy and rather vague about his political thinking seems undecided. We are dedicated to his later writings. There his thinking seems to be defined with more precision and fixity in the use of important concepts in the field of politics and philosophy. We see in these writings strong romantic inclinations with regard to the national question, his conception of history and politics. There is one issue where we present our object of study, we place importance and relevance of this work. In Chapter I, we establish a relationship between the question of intellectuals and politics, to be considered in great relevance and significance for the study of political ideas in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Chapter II is directly related to the first. It's almost an extension of a time, announced the issue of the relationship between intellectuals and political power, we are dedicated to observe the proposals and responses from Ortega to the intelligentsia of his time quite original. Our third and most important chapter is where we observe closely the relationship between the question of the intelligentsia, politics and the nation. The national question is elected first question, and we favor the concept of nation because we believe that this concept appears better conclusions where the political thought of Spanish philosopher. Finally there is our conclusion pointing to the solution of the epistemological and ontological contemporary theory from Ortega, the historicity of the world.
