Resumo
The Reference Centers of Social Assistance (CRAS) were created in 2004 with the proposal to be the gateway of the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS). The CRAS are the main instrument of primary care of social assistance, constituting itself in a point of confluence of needs and services offered to the population at risk and in social vulnerability. However, the CRAS is an effect from a series of political and social conditions, collective struggles, arts of governing, etc. that with a certain arrangement in the social field, led to the production of this instrument. Besides these factors we pointed out, we emphasize psychological and assistance practices as vectors of the constitution of CRAS. It is amid this diagram of forces, practices, regimes of truth that emerges CRAS as an object/effect from the contemporary, marked by the biopolitical management mode of life. In the production of this object as well as the analysis performed in the CRAS of Campo Verde, our main theoretical references were Michel Foucault, Robert Castel and Jacques Donzelot, in addition to other researchers and scholars in the social field. This research intended to discuss the production of CRAS as an effect among the factors already mentioned trying to analyze how this object has been updating itself.
