Resumo
The present work has as main goal to distinguish the contribution areas and their association with the hydrosedimentological contribution of the Duas Bocas Reservoir, Cariacica (ES), from the analysis of morphometric parameters, monitoring of precipitation and flow, suspended sediment concentration (CSS), as well as the granulometric distribution and the morphoscopic analysis of the sediments deposited in the reservoir. The Duas Bocas Biological Reserve (Rebio) has about 2910 hectares, with vegetation characterized as Dense Ombrophylous Forest (FOD) submontana and montana, with ample biological diversity in good conservation status. For the development of this work, rain gauges were initially installed at the river basin and in the dam. In the outflow of the Pau Amarelo, Naiá-Assú and Panelas streams, sampling points were determined for flow monitoring and water collection of the CSS analysis. The flow rate was monitored using the Flow Tracker device (Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter). For the granulometric distribution, morphoscopic and texture analysis of the Duas Bocas reservoir, 51 samples were collected, distributed at different points. The results obtained in the morphometric analysis give the Pau Amarelo stream basin a greater propensity to sediment production and liquid discharge, depending on the area, river density, main channel length, channel order and number of springs. In addition, the morphometry indicated that the basins of the Duas Bocas Rebio have an elongated shape, showing little propensity to inundation and floods, also having quite dissected relief. The monitoring of precipitation, flow and CSS values showed that the Pau Amarelo stream basin has the highest mean values for liquid discharge and sediment production, and the basins of the Naiá-Assú and Panelas are equivalent in the averages found. Regarding the granulometric distribution of Duas Bocas Rebio, the statistical parameters demonstrated that both the thick and mud fractions have a medium selection degree characterized as very poorly selected. The thick fractions are mainly distributed in the reservoir’s outfall, in higher energy environments for transport, and the mud fractions are found in the passage from the fluvial depositional process to the lacustrine environment. The grain morphoscopy of the reservoir showed that, in general, the grains have degree of subangular rounding, varying the percentages between the points, and demonstrating that these grains were inserted recently in the sedimentary cycle.
