- ItemA produção do espaço urbano de Vitória-ES pela construção imobiliária entre o final do século XIX e meados do século XX(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2015-10-23) Alves, Vanderson Moreira Silva; Campos Júnior, Carlos Teixeira de; Reis, Luis Carlos Tosta dos; Almeida, Renata Hermanny deThis dissertation discusses the production of urban space in the city of Vitória - ES by the building construction between the final decades of the nineteenth century and the first decades of the twentieth century. The development of this work was guided by the study of the forms of production of construction, from a historical perspective, in order to investigate and understand the characteristics of each form of production and the production of the construction process. The time frame established for scientific research was defined by the forms of production occurred during the city building process. Until the abolition of slavery, the slave labor was as fully used in the constructions to order in Vitoria’s city. The rent of slaves in building generated a gain in the form of rent to the owner of slaves. After slavery, it was observed that the urban real estate assumed the role of value for the owners. The transition from slave to free labor also reflected in the construction sector. The arrival of European immigrants, mostly Italians, in Victoria brought changes in the city's construction process. The Italian spread the use of new materials and new construction techniques that contributed to the beautification of the city and the valuation of the buildings. However, formation of the housing market is slowly gave way in the city. Housing construction for sale in Vitoria’s city only occurred from the 1950s. Thus, this study investigated the development of real estate construction in Victoria based on forms of construction production and the development of the production process in this sector.
- ItemConstrução de proposta metodológica para mapeamento participativo de mobilidade urbana : estudo no "Território do Bem"-bairro São Benedito-Vitória/ES(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2015-11-25) Pinho, Talita Guimarães Fonseca de; Girardi, Gisele; https://orcid.org/0000000345290841; Gonzalez, Soler; Almeida, Renata Hermanny deThe participatory mapping is built as a tool in order to favor specific communities’ social rights consolidation. It contributes to concretization of principles and democratic practices. In order to make participation the base of the process, it is necessary to adopt specific methodologies though. They would guide the planned activities complying with the interested community’s characteristics and necessities. The methodologies of participatory mapping have been developed more often by traditional communities and also in the countryside, rarely in informal occupations of urban situations. This research aims the organization of a methodological procedure for participatory mapping, focusing on urban mobility in high occupational density areas and low infrastructure. It uses as reference, the São Benedito district, located in Vitória/ES, specifically on a region named “Território do Bem”. Therefore this study presents bibliographic revision about participatory mapping and the existing geographical elements and its influence in this district. They are pertinent for the development of the participatory mapping, considering the aspects of the region “Território do Bem”. It discourses about the context of the communities mentioned and systematizes the participatory mapping experiences. It also proposes the participatory mapping methodology for urban mobility. Interviews and observations in the studied area were taken. They were supported by the Non Governamental Organization “Ateliê de Ideias”, partering with LabTTEC-Ifes, in the “Mapa do Bem” project. The built methodological proposition was discussed with social actors who were relevant to the theme, viewing its validation. It has been discussed in the final considerations that it is necessary to evolve a lot in order to make the mapping really participatory. It was noticed that the geo-referenced technologies innovations collaborate a whole lot for that. It is discussed about the mobility suggestions in the “Território do Bem” region. It has a rich population in contrast and also has active participation.
- ItemMultiterritorialidade no Distrito de Itapina, Colatina: Espírito Santo(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-08-09) Tesch, Arleida Lemke; Almeida, Renata Hermanny de; Bentivoglio, Julio César; Cunha, Marcelo Durão Rodrigues da; Dadalto, Maria Cristina; Castiglioni, Aurélia HermíniaThis dissertation analyses the evolution of settlement, the coffee economy, the transport infrastructure and its interrelations between the multi-territoriality materialised in Itapina’s landscape. It looks especially into the period between 1906 – the arrival of rails alongside with Rio Doce’s riverbanks – and 2016 – the end of the city management, which consolidates Itapina’s urban nucleus as a heritage area and a Protection Area of Cultural Environment. It highlights the importance of Francisco Vieira de Carvalho Milagres’ Fazenda da Serra in the settlement of Itapina’s urban nucleus surroundings. It identifies Aldeamento Laje’s location and the presence of Munhagerunsand and Nac-Nuncs indigenous people at Ribeirão Laje’s mouth, tributary of Rio Doce and SPI’s action aiming at minimizing the conflicts, which occur between the indigenous people and the settlers. It highlights the existing connections between communication channels used by muleteers with the railway and river navigation, especially at Rio Doce. These channels are later on materialised in roads and highways. It emphasizes the Vitória-Minas Railway’s history and its importance to the trading post established at Itapina’s urban nucleus. It pinpoints that the rise and climax of economic life in Itapina occurs in the years between 1920 and 1950 and the decay in the years between 1960 and 1970, when coffee is eradicated in Espírito Santo and in Brazil. By using several academic work, such as books, articles, dissertations, thesis, study analysis, reports, diagnostics, newspapers, and magazines about the focus adopted in the research produced by government bodies and linked to them and that approaches the theme and temporal focus of the research, it analyses the process of the territory occupation through its settlement, the implementation of transport means, the coffee cultivation at Itapina’s nucleus surroundings which establishes itself as a combined and continuous dynamics of multi-territoriality expressed in the territorialisation and in the deterritorialisation of the individual, social group, and the State which build their multi-territories by integrating the cultural, economic, and political experience in regards to the space. The results emphasise the reasons why the urban nucleus economic life decays, highlight that the brief moment of rise and decay which is materialised in the space/territory as a legacy preserved through the heritage listing of Itapina’s Protection Area of Cultural Environment which is organised through sectors at Itapina’s Historical Site, demonstrate that the population, represented in the research, attribute value to territories in PACE, and these territories correspond to objects, events, constructions, landscape elements, and the values which are in continuous reconstitution.
