Disinformation, whether produced through manipulation or manufactured with false and/or out-of-context data, has become a problem of national and international proportions, being researched by scientists, professionals and institutions in various parts of the world, demanding confrontation in order to contain the advancement of its spread. The current moment of proliferation of desinformation demands information and reading skills to distinguish between coherent and fallacious information, amidst the diversity of information content available. At this juncture, the education of children and adolescents to use information represents great social relevance, contributing to the formation of critical subjects in the processes of searching, evaluating and using information, since these subjects are producers and consumers of information in the mediatized society. Inserted in a time of transformation due to the ease of searching and retrieving information in contemporary society, the school needs to commit to training critical subjects with skills to appropriate information in physical and digital environments, which places the school library as a face-to-face space that is potentially affected by new technologies, requiring critical and ethical informational practices, which can act on the development of the skills of members of the school community. Therefore, this research had the general objective of investigating the contribution of the school library in the formation of critical subjects in contemporary society, through practices that contribute to the improvement of information skills aimed at combating desinformation. To this end, participatory and bibliographical research procedures were adopted in the context of a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive study regarding the objectives. Data collection took place through survey and analysis of literature concerning the topic and application of questionnaires involving teachers and students from a municipal elementary school in the Municipality of Vila Velha in the State of Espírito Santo. The questionnaires were based on international standards for the development of information skills (IFLA/UNESCO, 2007), and also in literature in the area of Information Science. With the results, the strategic potential of the school library in developing information skills for the training of critical readers is evident. The study demonstrates that the school library has assumed its pedagogical function within the school, and, through educational actions and literary practices, has been contributing to the development of information skills in elementary education, improving skills, knowledge and attitudes in the field of information and of critical reading. However, we draw attention to the need for specific actions aimed at improving and/or developing information knowledge and skills to combat disinformation, with the interrelated development of information skills (Information Competence, Reading Competence, Digital Competence, Infocommunication Competence and Infomedia Competence) providing students with the opportunity to enjoy the information environment with reliability, enabling digital natives to search for relevant content in hybrid environments, learning to evaluate and ethically use the information

In the Brazilian banking and financial scenario, transformations are occurring that are influencing the way people deal with their finances. The use of data is emerging as a crucial element of competitiveness between products, standing out as an essential factor in the current dynamics of the financial system, where society seeks to adapt to new realities. In this context, the research problem is outlined in the open databases of the Central Bank with the question of how these data can provide insights for social benefits. Therefore, this research has the general objective of investigating variables present in the open databases of the Central Bank of Brazil, related to credit operations, in the context of Open Finance, to reveal relevant insights, considering possibilities of socializing information for social benefit. Being a qualitative research of an applied nature, of an exploratory and descriptive nature, the research uses, mainly, information visualization with complex network analysis techniques. As results, there is a data modeling based on a domain reference ontology; statistical visual elements on the database data; information networks resulting from mappings performed on the data. These results can be used to understand how different groups of customers interact with the credit market in this changing context. This information plays an important role in developing more inclusive public policies. By identifying specific payment behaviors or credit needs in certain regions or similar groups, authorities can target fiscal incentive policies to facilitate access to credit for historically disadvantaged communities. The results indicate the possibility of social benefits, such as financial education of the population with information that is not made available by institutions, thus ensuring the legitimate interest of the community.

We live in a country with a vast cultural diversity, in which, more often than not, culturally differentiated groups are social minorities. These groups are not always able to enjoy their rights in society, such as the right to access information, which can hinder the full exercise of citizenship. It is believed that developing information literacy is one of the ways to promote the empowerment of culturally differentiated groups, helping them to exercise their rights and duties in the community in which they live. This study specifically investigates a traditional Pomeranian community in the interior of the state of Espírito Santo. The main objective of the research was to outline a framework that aims to provide teachers with guidelines for designing pedagogical strategies that foster the development of information literacy within the scope of the Pomeranian Language curriculum component of middle school, based on the ACRL (2016; 2023). Specifically, the aim was to a) Diagnose the context of the insertion of the Pomeranian Language curriculum component in middle school at the Frederico Boldt school by means of an interview with the school's principal and pedagogical coordinator; b) Identify the theoretical-methodological perspectives adopted by the teachers in conducting the Pomeranian Language curriculum component, with a view to identifying their correlation with the dimensions of information literacy; c) To check whether the Pomeranian language curriculum component in middle school includes the elements of the dimensions of information literacy; d) To apply activities for the development of skills related to the dimensions of information literacy in the sphere of the Pomeranian language curriculum component. This is an exploratory case study. The data was assessed qualitatively using the data triangulation technique and Bardin's content analysis. From the analysis of the results, it was possible to understand the context of the implementation and execution of the Pomeranian Language curriculum component; it was found that the dimensions of information literacy are reflected in a very timid way, both in the theoretical-methodological approaches adopted by the Pomeranian Language teacher and in the curriculum and teaching plans of the component; and it was considered that the activity carried out with the 8th and 9th grade students managed to contribute to learning in the subject and to the development of information literacy skills. Finally, the results of the research made it possible to draw up a framework, the purpose of which is to provide guidance for teachers in developing pedagogical strategies that foster the development of information literacy within the scope of the Pomeranian Language curriculum component in middle school.

Disinformation has had a negative impact on various spheres of people's lives, potentially influencing decision-making regarding social, political, ideological, health issues, among others. Information literacy has often been approached as a way of contributing to subjects' reflexivity, proposing a critical analysis of the production, appropriation and sharing of information in various media and formats. In this context, it is believed that studies of information practices can provide an understanding of aspects of disinformation from the perspective of the subjects themselves, taking into account their contexts and daily lives. The general objective of this study is to investigate the information practices of postgraduate professors in Information Science in Brazil at the master's and doctoral level, especially with regard to the way they deal with disinformation about politics. The specific objectives are to: a) identify how teachers use and share information about politics in their daily lives; b) analyze how the academic, professional and social context of teachers interferes with their perceptions of the Brazilian political scenario; c) verify how misinformation impacts the information practices of teachers with regard to political issues. This is an exploratory research with a qualitative-quantitative approach in which semi-structured interviews were carried out with seven teachers who teach courses on disinformation and/or information literacy. Data analysis occurred through content analysis proposed by Laurence Bardin. It was found that teachers use and disseminate information about politics as a way of problematizing reality, bringing true information and misinformation about politics to the classroom in order to encourage students' reflexivity. It was noted that the perception (positive or negative) of teachers about governments is directly related to government actions in the educational field. Furthermore, it was identified that misinformation with a “political” theme has been increasingly addressed and discussed by teachers and students included in PPGCIs. It is believed that the research contributed to the studies of information practices, correlating aspects of disinformation, politics and information literacy
