However, the misuse of this information represents a growing challenge. This study highlights the increase in scams, frauds, and manipulations related to the misuse of personal data in Brazil. The lack of public knowledge about protection measures aggravates the situation. Information Literacy emerges as an essential tool to protect individuals against illicit practices and ensure data security and privacy. The research aims to identify the relationships between Information Literacy and Personal Data Protection, seeking to investigate the connection between both concepts in the national and international literature. The goal is to relate the elements of Information Literacy to those of Personal Data Protection, and to present the information literacy skills necessary for the full exercise of the fundamental right to personal data protection. The research is based on a literature analysis, including scientific studies, laws, and regulations on the subject. The analysis highlights the intrinsic relationship between Information Literacy and Personal Data Protection. The research demonstrates how information literacy can enhance individuals' ability to protect their data, constituting itself as an essential tool for the realization of the right to personal data protection and contributing to the development of a more conscious, ethical, and secure society in the treatment of personal information. The study offers significant contributions to Information Science, Law, and society in general by filling gaps in the literature on Information Literacy, promoting the integration of Information Literacy with the legal field, and presenting solutions to the challenges related to personal data protection in Brazil.

Through the implementation of an Electronic Information System, a hypothesis was built, verifying whether document management complies with archival requirements and investigating whether the proposed functionalities adhere to the requirements proposed in e-Arq Brasil. The research used exploratory and descriptive methods to discuss the theoretical framework and describe its implementation by the institution. The general objective of this research is to evaluate the document management carried out by the Electronic Information System in accordance with the requirements of e-Arq Brasil. The specific objectives are to discuss policies intertwined with policies in the public domain that deal with information policy and archival policy; to discuss document management as the integration of archival requirements in the light of the postulates of Information Science and Archivistics; to describe the process of implementing the Electronic Information System; to compare the municipality's Electronic Information System according to the document Model of Requirements for Computerized Document Management Systems (e-ARQ Brasil); contextualizing the research with the trends of Information and Communication Technologies in Public Administration. Analysis of the electronic information system's requirements revealed a flexible architecture, but not yet configured for institutional processes. The application of the direct observation tool indicated favorable adherence to the functional requirements of e-ARQ Brasil, but the institution needs to make adjustments. The results highlight the importance of systems that address archival issues in order to provide authenticity in matters that require legal and/or administrative probity so that various purposes can be met.
- ItemO Acervo Fotográfico da Reitoria Da Ufes: Informação, Memória e Patrimônio Documental(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2024-04-22) Modolo, Philippe Peterle; Costa, Rosa da Penha Ferreira da; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5383-6723; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3409664107216795; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9278-4337; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4837989220176686; Silva, Luiz Carlos da; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1443-5879; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2553964864422495; Mariz, Anna Carla Almeida; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1871-0986; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3542831487060438This study investigates the role of photograph collections from the UFES rectory's office in maintaining institutional memory. Starting from the question about the photographic document and its relationship with the mechanisms of memory, the work investigates the photograph present in the university archive as a document and as a source of information, fundamental for historical reconstruction. The investigative path begins with a literature review, addressing the main studies that address university archives and their intersection with institutional memory, discussing the issue of photographic documents in contemporary times, while associating the formation of the photographic collection with the history of UFES. Then, a case study is used, aiming to make a diagnosis of the conditions of production, storage, access, and use of photographs produced during the rectors' activities. Weaving a narrative of the institutional historical trajectory and analyzing the different contexts of photography production, it identifies the sectors linked to the institution's central administration, mapping their photographic collections, to bring together the entire collection of photographs originating from the activities of the rectory's office. Its general objective is to highlight the importance of the UFES - Campus Goiabeiras photographic collection as a source of information for the maintenance of its institutional memory. The specific objectives are: Verify in the literature aspects of photography as a document and its intersection with institutional memory; Identify sectors directly linked to the central administration of UFES on the Goiabeiras Campus that have photographic collections, mapping the places that produce and archive these collections; Characterize how this collection has been formed and what this collection is composed of; Reflect the UFES photographic collection from the perspective of documentary heritage; Highlight the importance of photography for the preservation of institutional memory. Furthermore, it discusses the patrimonialization of photographic documentary collections and access to information as a cultural right. The results of the study reveal that the collection of photographs in the rectory's office documents the most significant events at the university, constituting relevant value for reconstituting history and maintaining institutional memory. It also presents as a result, the growing increase in the use of photography as a resource for recording the activities of the rectory's office. In qualitative analysis, the study demonstrates the main events that motivated the production of photographic records in each period of UFES management. Despite this, the results also indicate that, based on user registration, the collection is little known and widespread. Finally, it is concluded that despite its historical, cultural and educational relevance, the collection is in a worrying state regarding security and conservation, and therefore, recommendations are proposed for its safeguarding and greater enjoyment by society, recognizing the existence of numerous challenges that arise to ensure the preservation and full access to these collections.
