- ItemA matemática financeira e a inclusão bancária dos alunos do ensino médio(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2015-07-10) Pegoretti, Jordon Luiz; Bayer, Valmecir Antonio dos Santos; Rosado Filho, Moacir; Bayer, Valmecir Antonio dos SantosThis paper deals with Financial Mathematics in high school and its importance to the household finances and the conscious credit, seeking to prepare students for banking inclusion. Therefore, we proposed activities that address the matter and how it is relevant to relationships with banks and / or financial. The methodology is based on an exploratory survey of employees of a bank city of Linhares-ES, responsible for customer service, credit analysis and sale of products and services to individual and corporate person. The research aims to verify the knowledge level of the population from the point of view of banking. With the results, have been proposed activities involving loans, using credit card and overdraft, focused on conscious credit and to find solutions to the growing household debt. The final considerations underline the importance of financial education quality and how it will influence the individual's choices for life. As contributions, research leaves us lessons and challenges. Lessons when we review the survey results with the bank and as the theme have been poorly addressed in schools, reflecting the Brazilian population, and challenges us to change the course of this history and begin a process of reduction of household debt through awareness of our students

- ItemAplicação da matemática em investimentos financeiros : caderneta de poupança e títulos públicos(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2015-01-01) Ponaht, Osmar; Rosado Filho, Moacir; Bayer, Valmecir Antonio dos Santos; Fantin, SilasStarting with a brief study of percentage and some of its applications, the development of this work consists of a review of the fundamentals of financial mathematics and its applications in two kinds of investments denominated savings accounts and government bonds. In addition to the traditional simple and compound interests, associating them with arithmetic and geometric progressions, respectively, it encompasses different types of rates (proportional and equivalent, nominal and effective, variables and accumulated) including the concept of overnight rate. Based on the subjects mentioned, the work ends with an application of financial mathematics associated with investments in savings accounts and several government bonds negotiated in Direct Treasure.
- ItemAplicação de conceitos de Geometria e Estatística à construção e utilização do Pluviômetro tipo Pet(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2013-04-09) Moser, Fábio; Rosado Filho, Moacir; Abdón, Miriam Del Milagro; Guimarães Filho, Florêncio FerreiraThis report has the subject of presenting the contextualization of concepts of Geometry and Statistics for the third level college students from Vila Pavão city Espírito Santo. Was begun from the construction of a plastic pluviometer in class, also the construction and interpretation of grafics for the distribution of rain in each month of the year in this city, through the period from January of the year 1994 to December of the year 2012. Considering that most part of the students concluding college live in the countryside of this city, the intention of this report is that the students use this information and make them spread on the farms they live and have a concise forecast about the distribution of rain throughout the months. By this way we want to teach Geometry and Statistics in a contextualizated form using these contents in local problems of Vila Pavão city Espírito Santo, so contributing to give practical meaning to these mathematical issues
- ItemAplicação do software geogebra ao ensino da geometria analítica(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2013-04-09) Guedes, Paulo Cezar Camargo; Bayer, Valmecir Antonio dos Santos; Rosado Filho, Moacir; Abdón, Miriam Del MilagroBy teaching Analytic Geometry classes for High School Senior Students, I have always noticed that most students not only did not remember the main properties of Plane Geometry, but also had great difficulty making the analogy between them and the Cartesian Plane. Aiming an improvement in this learning, I thought about an intervention proposal which would make students environment work more pleasant. By the advent of computer and the GeoGebra Software, I tried to draw practical lessons, double or single, so that they could revise and acquire the main concepts of Analytic Geometry Plane. This work was developed in order to make the students visualize and acquire knowledge studied since Elementary and early school grades for further revision. The paper was prepared with questions to make students analyze certain properties previously chosen, discuss the results obtained from some questions, develop arguments to prove the observations obtained, and describe clearly and succinctly the relations and conditions to explain the concepts and properties studied
- ItemAplicações do Software GeoGebra ao ensino de funções(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-08-27) Oliveira, Marcelo Peres de; Rosado Filho, Moacir; Guimarães Filho, Florêncio FerreiraThis work consists in the presentation of a possibility for the teaching of Functions from experimental constructions using GeoGebra software to assist the construction, visualization and comprehension of graphs of some functions. We present a didactic practice that brings activities in which the students have the opportunity to elaborate the graph of the functions and make modifications, having to think what to do in each situation and perceive the regularities, thus establishing research strategies. The activities presented were based on the author's experience in working with the initial high school grades in a private school in the State of Espírito Santo. We know that it is relevant at the same time to develop a computer culture within the school. As teachers, we must be aware that due to the growing computerization of society, the presence of computers in the educational institution should be examined with a reality that no longer has to discuss, but whose real meaning needs to be built. In pursuit of obtaining more effective learning, we must be prepared to manage and make effective use of these new technologies, observing their pros and cons, and as key elements of the teaching and learning process, always strive to reach a break even. Being the computer is one of the technological instruments used in the school environment, we carry out the study relating the computer, the study of the functions and its educational process school. Through a program with "drawing in motion" features, GeoGebra, we allow the student actions such as experimenting, interpreting, visualizing, inducing, guessing, abstracting, generalizing and finally demonstrating. We conclude that the use of new technologies in the classroom is a great ally in the teaching of mathematics, provided that adequate planning is done with objectives to be achieved.
- ItemÁreas sob curvas: uma sequência didática para o ensino médio(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2015-10-27) Boldrini, Thiago; Valentim, Fábio Júlio da Silva; 1º membro da bancaI propose the continuation of the studies of functions on high school by inserting the study of areas under graphics and applications in some subjects such as physics and economics. I present the content as activities to be developed with the teacher's help, the definition of natural logarithm as area under a graph and activities to explore the understanding.
- ItemAtividades colaborativas com o geogebra: uma proposta de ensino de geometria plana(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-12-06) Lessa, Alessandra Mathias; Valério, Domingos Sávio; Valério, Domingos Sávio; Rosado Filho, Moacir; Fantin, SilasPerformance rates of Brazilian students have not reached favorable levels in institutional evaluations to verify mathematical learning. Even though Brazil has stood out in the global setting for its development and economic growth, like South Africa, China India and Russia — countries with these characteristics, named BRICS — it has not reached results similar to most of these countries, as in PISA, for example. Therefore, besides assessing, it is important to use the results and set goals so that this picture can be changed. This study departs from the assessment carried out in the education system in the State of Espírito Santo, Brazil: the PAEBES. The result of assessment in the year 2014 will be the basis for the methodology in this study, because it comprises indications of the skills (descriptors) which students have not yet developed. The proposal comprises challenging activities involving geometry to arouse students’ curiosity and willingness to learn in a collaborative and interesting way. Since interactivity attracts youth, the Dynamic Geometry of software GeoGebra can bridge theory to practice, allowing easier visualizations in multiple representations of the object created.
- ItemDificuldades na aprendizagem da matemática: um estudo com alunos do ensino médio(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2014-04-14) Loureiro, Vanilda; Bayer, Valmecir Antonio dos Santos; Fantin, Silas; Ccoyllo, Rosa Elvira QuispeThe main objective of this dissertation is to investigate the phenomenon of the difficulty that many high school students have in learning math. For that, it chooses to understand the view of those students about the problem. It discusses somewhat about the influences that the motivation can exert influence in learning. It also discusses ethnomathematics and resolution problems and about the importance that they can achieve during the students’ learning process. Opting for the qualitative research it takes refuge with a questionnaire as a method of gathering information. It points that the students understand that the problem is not just in the teaching method utilized by the teacher or in the abstract nature of mathematics itself. Thus, many of the individuals who contributed to the survey indicate a lack of basic math in elementary school and the need to memorize many formulas and rules as the main reasons for the difficulty of students to learn mathematics in school. As suggestions, the students who completed the questionnaire point mainly to the teacher’s need to change the method of teaching, as well as the use of other resources and / or exploitation of situations of everyday life. It proposes that it is necessary the realization of new studies not only in high school to understand better the problem, but also in elementary school.
- ItemDiversificando o ensino de matemática com ênfase na resolução de problemas(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-03-24) Aguiar, Paulo Célio; Guimarães Filho, Florêncio Ferreira; 1º membro da bancaThis study begins with a brief account of my professional experience and a remark made to appropriate the statistical data of a state school, which I linked meeting. It has been found that it has a considerable rate of failure in Mathematics, and a regular performance in this discipline in external evaluations. In an attempt to identify the causes, was made an observation of lessons, interviews with students and teachers, where we realized that fit present a proposal to diversify the teaching of this discipline in order to improve student learning and hence their performance in evaluations. This discussion extends in the second chapter, which briefly questioned is the way this course has been taught in most schools. É also presented an account of a successful experience. In the third chapter, based on my vision teacher and former manager, I present an educational proposal emphasizing motivation and diversification. From the fourth chapter, problem solving takes the role of main theme of this dissertation and is seen on various aspects. First, we used the mathematics of history to understand the degree of interest of the ancient mathematicians in this theme. In then it is treated as a teaching strategy for teaching mathematics. In the final chapter, we present a series of problems solved, well chosen criterion, which explores various techniques and solving strategies. We ended by suggesting to readers, a list of problems containing some tips and answers.
- ItemEducação financeira: uma prática na escola(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-08-03) Santos, Eduardo Correia dos; Silva, Domingos Sávio Valério; Rosado Filho, Moacir; Barbosa, Nelson MachadoDue to the huge lack of knowledge in financial education, this dissertation’s goal is to train teachers in financial education in the school, since it would be the best moment to start this practice, as soon as possible. With the plurality of knowledge that the subject requires, we’ll discuss issues such as planning techniques, personal and global sustainability, economics, finances in formation of a sustainable consumer, through the vision of mathematicians and professionals in administration, economics and accounting, all in one. Throughout four chapters we’ll discuss the essential concepts to generate theoretical support in financial education, bringing a different language than the used in the books, valuing the mathematics in the construction of formulas, leaving behind the mechanical act, although not forgetting the optimizations in the resolutions made by such books. We’ll unite the logic of math to the understand of shopping pleasure, the movements of economy to the market, and position ourselves as financial educators, proposing an activity which the teacher can work with the students in the classroom, confronting problems of their daily lives. It should be reinforced that at no time will the consideration presented here will be unique and absolute, given that financial education is not static, due to the human variables not mathematically measurable, such as yearning, desires, pleasures and happiness, etc. We’ll meet the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development), and understand its relationship with the associated countries, and so on see that from this work, Brazil created the ENEF (National Financial Education Strategy) for financial education in a public policy action. It had within one of its first steps the creation of a pilot project of Financial Education in Schools.
- ItemEnsino de geometria e perspectiva: um olhar pelas fotografias(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-09-06) Silva, Lenise Júlia Fassini da; Wrobel, Julia Schaetzle; Souza, Maria Alice Veiga Ferreira de; Ccoyllo, Rosa Elvira QuispeThis research brings elements of Projective Geometry to a classroom of the 3rd year of High School, through photographs and art. For this, we present a historical report since the 5th postulate of Euclides and its most varied attempts made for anothers mathematicians to show this unsucessfully, passing for criations of new geometric concepts, until come on the actual days with the formalization of these geometries. We also look at official documents about the teaching of a new geometry in the basic education of the state of Espírito Santo (ES). We applied the didactic sequence in an ES state school and analyzed the impacts on the students’ learning, concluding that the classroom discussion and the students' own artistic production may have facilitated the understanding of the mathematical topics worked in the classes.
- ItemEnsino dos pontos notáveis do triângulo com auxílio do GeoGebra(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-07-09) Vignatti, Luciano; Xavier, Magda Soares; Rosado Filho, Moacir; Sabeti, MehranIn this work we present two experiences in teaching triangle centers to eighth grade students. One was done using the traditional method, through the use of expository lessons, while the other was done through the use of the software GeoGebra. We also present some theorems about triangle centers, as well as activities with GeoGebra for the teaching of this subject
- ItemEscola atual e a contextualização da matemática(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2015-06-25) Borges, Eduardo Cosme; Bayer, Valmecir Antonio dos Santos; Guimarães, Andréa Gomes; Silva, Domingos Sávio Valério
- ItemFunção exponencial: definição, caracterização e aplicação(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2015-06-25) Gadioli, Anderson Oliveira; Bayer, Valmecir Antonio dos Santos; Silva, Domingos Savio Valerio; Guimarães, Andréa GomesThe present dissertation deals with an approach regarding the teaching of exponential function for teachers of mathematics. This work has served in the studies of LIMA (2010), DANTE (2014), EVES (2004), IEZZI (2011) among others to justify the importance of this teaching in the final series of basic education. It is known that the teaching of mathematics is going through delicate moments in the last few decades, so it is important to expand knowledge for a new approach in this teaching and clearly applies. In this way, it is believed that there is a greater commitment on the part of the teacher and the student in the sense that if you finish with this rancid which is the study of mathematics. Therefore, in a world where new technologies and information is more accessible, the mathematical models become a facilitator when you need to troubleshoot and analyze graphs.
- ItemGeometria analítica no ensino médio: uma proposta com tratamento vetorial(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2013-04-09) Silva, Robson Vieira da; Valentim, Fábio Júlio da Silva; Simas, Fábio Luiz Borges; Ccoyllo, Rosa Elvira QuispeBased on the course program of Analytic Geometry present in the basic curriculum of the State of Esp´irito Santo public schools, we propose a vectorial approach for the subject. That’s because, with base in analyses of textbooks used in the High School, it was possible verifying the absence of vectors in the mentioned discipline, although the method applied to the Analytic Geometry facilitates your teaching and learning. Under that prism, we produced a material that brings as main differential the introduction of vectors and your applicability, demonstrated also, in exercises. In the same way, we mentioned the straight line equation and we brought some considerations concerning to vectors in the discipline of Space Analytic Geometry. In that context, it was possible to simplify the understanding of fundamental concepts and to make possible a larger transition between the Algebra and the Geometry.
- ItemGeometria nos vagões: conexões entre o ensino de geometria espacial e os tipos de vagões(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-08-14) Santos Filho, Adolpho Olimpio dos; Gonçalves Junior, Etereldes; Rosado Filho, Moacir; Farias, Marcelo FerreiraThis material came from the need to present the content of spatial geometry, regarding railroad cars, which is one of the study objectives of the students of Integrated Electromechanical Rail Maintenance (INERM) at Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo - Cariacica Campus. In this material the following contents are covered: a brief history of space geometry and some important characters that over time helped organize it, or simply made use of it; the need for the emergence of units of measure, a summary of spatial geometry contents, images of some railroad cars and their specifications; associations of some models of cars with solids and some application examples of geometry in studies of railroad cars. It is expected that after this reading students can relate the concepts, forms and properties of solids to the cars, and thus create the necessary connections to the resolution of future problem situations involving the concepts of geometry.
- ItemIntrodução à matemática financeira para alunos na educação de jovens e adultos(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2013-08-23) Spinassé, Camila; Gonçalves Junior, Etereldes; Castro, Fabio Correa; Farias, Marcelo Ferreira
