We can define the dual career as a kind of formation in two agencies that generate demands and have obligations to fulfill. This thesis demonstrates how the objective management of the dual career builds a bias towards the flexibility of the school curriculum, making the dual career mediation programs alleviate the problems related to the routines, but do not find the right solutions. It may be suggested that this thesis articulates the idea that the advantages offered by the European dual career mediation programs focus on reducing the student-athlete's travel time and the compatibility of schedules, providing conditions for training and schooling to take place almost in the same space. This thesis therefore presents the advantages and disadvantages of dual career mediation programs; also an average model of conciliation of the dual career in Brazil, based on the study of student-athletes practicing football in clubs in Rio de Janeiro; and a program, which we may adopt as a national trial for dual career mediation, which is the Federal Government's Athlete Scholarship Program. What may support the thesis that dual career mediation programs are lessening the effects of this relationship, but do not present concrete solutions to this type of training, is that in the subsequent studies presented in the thesis it is shown that, even in the absence of mediation programs in Brazil, studentathletes report the same problems as in European cases. Thus, this thesis brings out the need for greater investments in understanding the context of choosing a dual career. We have seen that even with intervention at different levels, the European market is able to soften few effects of the dual career, but it does not solve the major problems that lead student-athletes to give up sports or school.

Taking into consideration the incipient number of investigations centered on the representation of foreign practitioners, the present study aims at overcoming this gap and its main goal is to analyze the appropriation practices of this cultural manifestation operated by the Capoeira players belonging to the so called Beribazu Capoeira Group in Argentina, Poland and Italy. It is a qualitative study with a descriptive-interpretative nature, carried out with 24 participants: six Argentinians, ten Polish and eight Italians. Data was produced through the focal group with 24 participants and the participant observation, with the insertion where the group develops work, experiencing their events and daily activities, such as, baptism, degrees, graduations, capoeira practical courses, speeches, training, lessons and cultural activities. Results indicate that Capoeira has been appropriated in different ways regarding the investigated contexts. Data has also pointed out that, in relation to Capoeira, the Argentinian value, apart from the practice, figures of learning associated with the relational and conceptual dimensions of this cultural manifestation. Although there is an interest in preserving the traditions and the Capoeira rituals, the productive use made by the Argentinian players denotes a copyright appropriation, marked by the sociocultural context in which they are inserted and by personal matters. In Poland, it is observed that there is an ongoing process of appropriation and resignification of this cultural manifestation in the country. At the same time that Capoeira presents singular characteristics, resulting from local traditions and particularities of the ones who use it, cultural aspects found in their motor and symbolic background also impact the way Polish think and act, configuring a movement of cultural circularity. The Polish are proud of the Capoeira built in the last three decades in the country, which creates identity representations among them, articulating aspects of the local culture with the traditions of this Afro-Brazilian manifestation. For the Italians, the meaning of the Capoeira group goes beyond a collective that gathers with the purpose to develop a body practice. It is about a space where the practitioners share love, affection, respect and family life, in the broad sense of the term. They are together, cooperating for the 11 success of the group, committed to the development of the culture they were introduced to and they do not see themselves as foreigners, but Capoeira practitioners. They verbally express their identity and show mastery of the lexicon needed to understand the range of living Capoeira feeling. Regardless the context, it is noticed, in all countries analyzed, an active process of cultural appropriation, in which the aesthetic of reception denotes singular ways to conceive and to related with Capoeira itself, bringing new elements to expand the comprehension of the internationalization processes of such Afro-diasporic manifestation.
- ItemA nova classe trabalhadora vai ao ensino superior: um estudo das práticas didático-pedagógicas em licenciaturas de Educação Física do setor privado no Espírito Santo(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2019-02-28) Gerez, Alessandra Galve; Bracht, Valter; González, Fernando Jaime; Neira, Marcos Garcia; Gomes, Ivan Marcelo; Figueiredo, Zenólia Christina CamposThe University Pedagogy is a field which has been intensified, in the past two decades, the reflexions and criticisms about the political-epistemological bases which substantiated the teaching practices in the Higher Education, still considered quite traditional and elitist. In the field of Physical Education (PE) there is a shortage of studies which dwell on university teaching. This reflexions become even more urgent in the current context of expansion of access to the Higher Education, which allowed the ingress of students of the “new working class”, with social experiences and different identities of the student ideal which the university practices tend to value. It is known that the advancement of Higher Education in Brazil was, predominantly, by the private sector, including the mercanthile condition, which in treating the Higher Education as a private and profitable good, deepens the precariousness of the teaching work, which makes it difficult to invest in new curricular and pedagogical experiences necessary to meet the quality requirements in the formation of these students. Accordingly, the objective of this paper was to comprehend the panorama of the privatization of the undergraduate courses in PE in the State of Espírito Santo, as well as the routine of the didactic- pedagogical practices of the lecturers who act in the private Higher Education Institutions (IESs), which are the spaces that serve the most the students of popular origin. Therefore, a qualitative research was made, divided in two steps: in the first, a documental research was realized having as a source the sites of INEP and MEC, which disclose the insformations of the Census of Higher Education in Brazil and the relatories of ENADE, which inform the social and economic profile of the students who attend the undergraduate courses in PE in the Estate of Espírito Santo. In the second step of the research, which consisted in comprehend the routine of the didactic-pedagogical practices of the undergraduate courses in PE of the private sector, 21 (twenty-one) lecturers of undergraduate courses in PE of the regions of Greater Vitória and the countryside of the State were interviewed. All information were interpreted in light of Praxeological Theory Of Pierre Bourdieu and the critical contributions of Bernard Lahire. The results showed that 96% of undergraduate courses in PE offered across the State are in the private network, besides a clear inequality of access between the capital and the countryside. The profile of the students attending these courses is predominantly workers, with income of up to 6 (six) minimum wages, coming from public schools and children of parents with low and medium schooling. The lecturers report allowed to capture that their work is realized, in most times, in a context of precarity, materialized in a hourly work regime, with a big amount of subjects, pressures of ENADE and lack of pedagogical autonomy, situations which become even more dramatics in institutions of mercantile character. About the daily routine in the classroom, they relate that they deal with students with a lot of difficulties in reading, writing and organizing the study routine. Their teaching identities are quite heterogenous, both as regards the conceptions which they have about the PE and the objectives of the higher formation, as in their ways of seeing and facing the system precariety. About the didactic-pedagogical practices, even though they report strategies of action which aim to break with traditional practices of teaching, predominates the dicotomic conception between theory and practice, as well as breeding practices of the traditional teaching habitus which keep the relations of social domination.

The sense of belonging to the teaching profession, in this study, is linked to the idea of Teachers acknowledging themselves as the ones responsible for such public horizon, in this reception regarding the new generations coming to the pre-existing world, a world that we have built, in a way, in conjunction with our ancestors, so that the younger ones can judge about a certain reality. The Teachers must decide whether they love the world - the amor mundi, the body practices, in the case of Physical Education Teachers –, as well as their new habitants are enough to accept responsibility for both. Therefore, the research is about a dual responsibility. Insofar as the justification is concerned, the study does not sustain that teaching must be thought as priesthood or donation, although it is important to search for motivation and personal interest that is created with the magisterium. To do something that is considered valuable means attributing a personal sense/meaning and a social recognition to your know-how. In other words, it seems that this allegiance (pertença) can be stimulated, provoking the School Physical Education Teachers from inside out, which can be the motivation that vests humanity with their existence. The study stands out that the need to a further investigation about desire and will. To think about what affects us, as well as to be questioned as member of a community, mobilizes the individual in order to reflect on the training process of those in charge of the world. The research uses the narrative and the (self) biographic method as theoretical-methodological principle. Such perspective enables Teachers to be aware of themselves regarding their trajectory, causing reflection and understanding themselves and their practices, also allowing the analysis of interconnections of their itinerary with the academic, social, historic and cultural contexts, with their way to appropriate experiences and, thus, to do the “thinking exercise” about their senses/meanings. In relation to methodological resources, it prioritizes the primary biographic materials, more specifically the narrative interviews. It analyzes the (self) biographic narratives of the experiences belonging to the research collaborators, in which they remembered the experiences lived throughout their training trajectory (in the family ambit, elementary education, initial training and in other training space/time) that promoted significant marks on their personal/professional training, as well as had been manifested as possible guides/inspirations to build their allegiance (pertença) with the profession regarding their teaching experience. Besides, the study analyzes their experiences lived throughout their teaching experience in elementary education, interpreting the way they reveal their allegiance (pertença) and, even, identify the aspects emerging from their expertise as potential guides/inspirations for the students and (future) Teachers to act according to their contexts and realities. In the concluding remarks, it infers the need to better think about the School Physical Education Teachers training experiences as a starting point for the constitution of allegiance (pertença) with Teachers. Those narratives may contribute to strengthen the act of (future) School Physical Education Teachers, constituting an allegiance (pertença) to the Teachers’ profession.

Aloyr remained for two decades as director of the main governing bodies of Physical Education in the state of Espírito Santo and his action to intervene, record and narrate the sporting life in Espírito Santo, allows us to understand the practices and development of actions political and pedagogical that he undertook as teacher, manager and one of the main articulators of a training project for the Physical Education course of Espírito Santo. The projects developed for the sport, the academic activities, the actions as journalist and activist in favor of a scientific formation of the professor of Physical Education, are related in his books, in the lectures given and in the chronicles that he performed. All these strategies of writing and synthesis are for us considered as representations, circulated and shared with their community of readers and listeners, and which today constitute as a memory of Physical Education, guarded as a monument of a life, as a legacy that speaks of the past and of man in time. As a theoretical reference, he uses the propositions of Roger Chartier with the concepts of representation and practices of representation, Carlo Ginzburg with the indicia model, Jaques Le Goff with the concepts of document and monument, Marc Bloch directs us the historiographic perspective of the historical narrative, Jean Françoise Sirinelli, with the concept of social network and Michel de Certeau with the concepts of strategy and tactics. As a source, it makes use of official documents, newspaper clippings, books, articles, magazines, collections; official documents from the Cefd / Ufes permanent archive and interviews with historical actors. It is concluded that the personal archive of Aloyr was constructed with intentionalities and the explicit need of this historical actor to record his memory for posterity and the analysis of his documents helped to understand part of the history of Education Capixaba physics.

This formation corresponds to a university extension project carried out in 2019 (Federal Espírito Santo University/ extension program number 626). It is a partnership between the university, represented by the participants of the Learning Center with Children and their Activities, and the Education Department of the municipal network of Vitória city. The research required a methodological combination, in which Collaborative Action Research was mobilized to support the development of the study. In the first chapter, bibliographic research was used, of the state of knowledge type, to analyze the academic production related to the dimensions of writing in the continuing education of Physical Education in Early Childhood Education. In the second chapter, the textual productions of 31 teachers on teaching writing practices were analyzed. In relation to the third chapter, it was operated with the data produced during the execution of the collaborative research, from the records in the discussion forums; the different moments of continuing education (Inaugural meeting; activities on the VixEduca platform; discussion by the Thematic Working Group; seminar on practices; and Writing of the Pedagogical Didactic Material); and field diary. For chapter 4, documental research was adopted to analyze the final product of continuing education. The study participants correspond to 38 education professionals (Physical Education and Arts teachers, pedagogues, regent teachers, Early Childhood Education assistants, directors, interns) participating in the continuing education process and 14 university representatives. The theoretical contribution is based on Michel de Certeau and Mikhail Bakhtin. Among the results, it is highlighted that writing practices in the continuing education of teachers still lack investigation in the field of Physical Education, as it has little representation in the research found. The act of writing does not only involve personal desire, but requires conditions and the necessary processes to enable reflective writing. University extension is considered a rich opportunity to establish public policies for teaching appreciation and return to society through investment in education, reinforcing its training and knowledge production character. The relevance of action research is evidenced, in view of the production of knowledge that brings the academic field closer to the daily life of Early Childhood Education. In the Didactic-Pedagogical Material, the teachers shared their practices and knowledge, recognized in their arts of making. The thesis that the continuing education process, mediated by writing as a training path, allows the teacher to occupy a space as a producer of knowledge, characterizing itself as a political and emancipatory practice, proves to be beneficial.

What are the possible, absent, and incipient knowledges / doings in the spaces / times of the daily life of Physical Education in high school? Who are the practicing subjects and the spaces / times, including in their spatial syntaxes, of Physical Education in the daily life of high school? And what are the uses, consumptions and possibilities of practicing daily physical education in high school from the triple movement of pedagogical action between researcher, teacher and students, in this tensional scenario of changes in the Brazilian schooling project? With this, it aims to give visibility and to understand how the daily in Physical Education is being fabricated considering the scientific practices, curricular prescriptions, spatial syntaxes and knowledge / practices in the space / time of a high school in this tensional context of changes influenced by sociopolitical aspects. It was decided to organize the paths of this research in a pluri-methodological way. In Chapter 1 presents the general organization of the study, the thesis, and the central objectives. In Chapter 2, a research of the state of knowledge in the field of Education and Physical Education is carried out in search of the redundancies, idioms and fragilities that exist on the subject. In Chapter 3, the office of the historian is rescued and a research of the document type is undertaken, analyzing 14 state curricular proposals. Subsequently, in Chapter 4, considering the relevance of cyberspace as daily syntax, a netnography was developed in the social networks youtube, facebook, twitter and instagram, in order to capture the discursive practices carried out by the subjects on the changes in course in high school. Finally, Chapters 5 and 6 constitute the period of insertion in the daily life of a secondary school. In order to do so, we proceeded to the respective combination of research techniques, ethnographic case study and existential research-action, option that made possible the analysis and production shared with the school community, allowing to understand the knowledge / practices possible in the space/time of Physical Education of the high school. Thus, it was possible to develop practices in Physical Education subsidized by daily reading, but without disregarding the resonances, mainly of socio-political nature, that affect the Brazilian schooling project, whose high school has a strategic place.

In order to fill the evaluations gap in this type of program (GRAVER et al., 2010; NIKOLAUS, 2013), something that has also worry the International Olympic Committee (INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE, 2014), our goal was to measure the reach of theTransforma program, considering the official data, the report of its managers and the perception of the multiplier teachers. It is an ex-post facto research, with a pre-experimental design, using as an analytical tools, questionnaire, interview, document analysis and geoprocessing techniques. In the program investigated, stand out the quality, dynamic format, fluid and objective of the material produced and the formations carried out, the diversification of means for the delivery of it educational content and the capacity of articulation with several public and private agencies for the reach of their goals. The results indicate that Transforma program activities are characterized more by the conceptual and procedural dimensions of the contents than by the attitudinal dimension (COLL et al., 1998). Likewise, they are characterized more by the didactic approaches in Olympic Education oriented to knowledge and to experience than to the approaches oriented towards competition and the world of life (NAUL, 2008). It was observed that the formal generality of the Transforma objectives, which are to create opportunities for elementary and middle school students to contact the Games, to try out new sports and to experience Olympic and Paralympic values, was evidenced in the knowledge acquired by multipliers teachers and their actions in schools, as well as in the experiences provided and the perceived impacts on the students reached. The main protagonists were physical education teachers. The main beneficiaries were students from schools with high levels of educational development, located in urban centers. Most of the actions focused on the southeastern region of the country. The main fragilities observed concern the lack of action of the governmental spheres, discontinuity of the educational legacy due to the temporality of the program and lack of a consistent evaluation of the results. It is believed that through Transforma, knowledge of Olympic values and their symbols, as well as the teaching of new sports, has probably reached a level never reached before in Brazil.

However, further research is needed on the benefits of this method in aerobic fitness. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the effects of kettlebell HIIT on aerobic fitness and muscle strength in healthy young women. Participants were assigned to training (KB: n = 10; age = 25.5 ± 2.75 years; height = 163.0 ± 5.56 cm) or control group ( CG: n = 9; age = 21.00 ± 1.50 years; height = 160.50 ± 5.71). The kettlebell training program (10 weeks) was divided into three phases: phase I (two weeks), phase II (four weeks), and phase III (four weeks). Maximum oxygen consumption (V̇O 2 max), ventilatory threshold 1 (LV 1 ) and ventilatory threshold 2 (LV 2 ) were evaluated during the pre-training (PRE), mid-training (MIDDLE) and post-training (POST) periods. Maximum muscle strength (1RM) and anthropometric measurements were measured PRE and POST. The KB presented significantly higher values than the GC in the POST (p = 0.017; ES = 0.06). Kettlebell high-intensity interval protocol significantly increased velocity associated with V̇O 2 max (vV̇O 2 max: p < 0.001; ∆% = 13.21; ES = 0.17), velocity associated with LV 1 (vLV 1 : p = 0.002, ∆% = 24. 49; ES = 0.18), percentage of heart rate at LV 1 (%HRmax at LV 1 : p = 0.021, ∆% = 14.08; ES = 0.20), oxygen consumption at LV 1 (V̇O 2 at LV1: p = 0.047, ∆% = 33.94; ES = 0.07), velocity associated with LV 2 (vLV 2 : p = 0.005, ∆% = 15.12; ES = 0.16), percentage of heart rate in LV 2 (%HRmax at LV 2 : p = 0.011, ∆% = 7.75; ES = 0.25), oxygen consumption in LV 2 (V̇O 2 at LV 2 : p = 0.035, ∆% = 11.68; ES = 0.04) in POST. There was a significant reduction in V̇O 2 max for the CG between MIDDLE and POST (p = 0.035, ∆%= - 4.70; ES = 0.02). In conclusion, the kettlebell high-intensity interval training program can be a time-efficient and low cost alternative to improve aerobic capacity and muscle strength in sedentary young women.
