- ItemA forja (Bio)identitária de praticantes de esportes de combate na cidade de Vitória/ES : a "(re)construção permanente de si"(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2012-04-27) Oliveira, Samuel Thomazini de; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Gomes, Ivan Marcelo; Vaz, Alexandre Fernandez; Caliman, Luciana VieiraDiscusses aspects related to buildings (bio) identity of practitioners of combat sports veterans in the city of Vitória / ES. From the analysis and reflection about the theoretical and conceptual work film The Wrestler (2008), it was possible to build the object of research and immerse in the field in search of answers. From this, the study discusses aspects related to training processes (bio)identity a professional wrestler and then continues the process of interpretation of the results obtained in the field broadening the scope of analysis from the notion of somatic culture. Accordingly, the sequence of the work develops through empirical work, whose methodological process was based on dialogues and semi-structured interviews with five modes of MMA fighters, boxing and jiu jitsu, with ages ranging from 38-74. Another strategy was to return to the film and, along with two of the participants, dialogue on issues pertinent to the study. After these procedures, it was possible to articulate the insights provided by the film work with the highlighted data in / by the field. In the process of analysis and discussion we pointed out some recurrent themes in the studies that have been dedicated to mapping the references involved Forge fighters in contemporary society and to identify both the film and field training processes (bio)identity. As regards the analysis of the field, always articulated the movie and the theoretical, the participants concluded that among the determinants of moral spectacle develop ways "alternative" compared to the corresponding designs (bio)identity. In this sense, admittedly in the aging process and removal of competitive high performance, seek to ensure permanence in the chosen identity. The body of fashion and spectacular performance gradually becomes to be the body marked by the life story of the fighter carries and transmits the warrior ethos, its experience and its incorporation in the figure of self-fighter/trainer/master
- ItemA prática pedagógica como obra de arte : Gadamer e a estética do professor-artista(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2015-04-08) Eusse, Karen Lorena Gil; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Bracht, Valter; Berticelli, Ireno Antônio; Della Fonte, Sandra SoaresA partir de un análisis teórico-conceptual de la obra del filósofo Hans-Georg Gadamer, este estudio desea proporcionar un diálogo entre el arte y la educación. En la búsqueda por abrir un camino alternativo al “dominante”, ofrecido por la racionalidad técnico-instrumental, se piensa en fundamentar la idea del profesor-artista que hace de su práctica pedagógica una obra de arte. El texto comienza con un capítulo introductorio que describe el objeto y la metodología de la investigación. Expone también algunos puntos que la justifican. El primero de ellos discute las limitaciones de una práctica pedagógica fundamentada exclusivamente en los parámetros de la racionalidad técnico-instrumental. El segundo punto enfoca las movilizaciones personales que llevaron a la elección del tema y el tercero hace una pequeña descripción de algunos textos que discuten el concepto de profesor-artista o que relacionan la práctica docente con el arte. El capítulo siguiente presenta fundamentos teóricos del pensamiento de Gadamer sobre la verdad, vivencia, juego, poesía, diálogo y lenguaje, que son la base, en principio, para la construcción de la idea de obra de arte. Finalmente, un capítulo que muestra algunas posibilidades de la racionalidad estética e traza las primeras líneas sobre lo que podría ser el profesor-artista basado en la teoría de Gadamer.

- ItemA valorização do desejo feminino como via de inclusão escolar da aluna grávida e puérpera : um estudo a partir da filosofia e psicanálise(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2014-10-14) Souza, Maria Cecilia de; Della Fonte, Sandra Soares; Murta, Claudia Pereira do Carmo; Almeida, Felipe Quintão deTeenage pregnancy often occurs, especially among adolescents between 15 to 19 years old, from lower social-economic levels. This phenomenon has an impact on the education process of this group and often results in school evasion. Through an action-research, we approach the reality of a public primary school in the city of Vitória/ES in order to understand and intervene in the way some school subjects deal with the feelings involved in the occurrence of pregnancy among students. We found that the school community is not commonly concerned about the subjective impact of pregnancy, giving birth and puerperium. On the other hand, it became evident that there students go through numerous emotional experiences. These experiences influence the way in which they cross the perinatal period and have incisive impact on their school life. The school dropout is due to a combination of subjective and objective factors ranging from prejudice, difficulty dealing with the affections and the lack of assistance from government projects and policies for the retention of students in the perinatal period in the public educational system. With this study, we intend to point out the importance of building pedagogical practices attentive to the emotions of a pupil in the perinatal period and the need for state investments in support educational policies for the pregnant and postpartum student.
- ItemAcademia popular da pessoa idosa (APPI) : usos e apropriações dos frequentadores do módulo da Praia de Camburi em Vitória/ES(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2014-05-29) Laurindo, Vinnicius Camargo de Souza; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Gomes, Ivan Marcelo; Souza, Claudia Miranda; Borges, Carlos Nazareno FerreiraThe spread of the aging phenomenon and its issues was accentuated in recent decades featuring the achievements of the elderly population as great advances made by society in this period. This research aims to analyze the uses and appropriations of the Academia Popular da Pessoa Idosa (Appi) [Popular Gym of Elderly] aiming to detect everyday practices (activities and social relations) that enhance its use as a public space, as well as practices and conflicts that undermine the use this space. To do so, tried to observe the behaviors, attitudes, and statements of many members of the Módulo da Praia de Camburi (MPC) [Camburi‟s Beach Module] belonging to the Appi program. In order to achieve the study objectives the following steps were taken: 1) literature survey related to the production of the Gyms of the Third Age; 2) literature review; 3) Going to the field; 4) semi-structured interviews with users of the program; 5) data analysis. The data identified a set of elements that attract users to MPC. The results emphasize that the MPC consists of a heterogeneous public. "Conflicts" were highlighted, specifically related to the different ways each user uses the space. The main results indicate that the variable structure and location, (through elements such as reputation of the place and lack of maintenance), technological items (elements such as use of sports equipment and observation of the landscape), sociability (elements like motion people and relationships developed from space), relations of belonging (elements such as concern with the maintenance of the MPC and the MPC as just another place to go) and autonomy (elements such as lack of consensus regarding support of a Professor of Physics and personal fulfillment for participating in decisions concerning the development of its activities in MPC) influence the uses and appropriations of the MPC. This research demonstrates the difficulty facing researchers trying to describe and interpret such a diverse reality as presented in Appi and the importance of understanding the formation of public space (physically and metaphorically) directly influences the uses and appropriations of users. Despite the difficulties presented, the research may help in understanding the meaning of this type of program to the user.

- ItemAs práticas esportivas na orla de Vitória-ES : um estudo entre praticantes de futevôlei e futebol(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2015-08-27) Gaspar, Vinicius Nogueira; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; 1º membro da bancaFrom within two groups of sports practices at Vitória’s beachfront - one of foot volleyball and another of soccer - this paper aims to discuss this sport which is so present in our daily lives. The groups were observed through an ethnographic approach in order to understand the characteristics of the surveyed practices and also to analyze them based on the studies that dealt with the subject and /or reached similar paths to this investigation. Based on the fields and interviews’ description notebooks, it was possible to demonstrate how these groups are organized, their strategy maintenance over time and the relationships between the sport practiced by them and the sport in its institutionalized form. These observations served as the basis to answer the main question of the study: Is it possible to think of sport as something with definite characteristics? It was identified that, if we assume the definitions exposed in some studies, many of the groups’ characteristics from this research will be excluded. Thus it confirms the considerations proposed by other studies that present the sporting universe with increasingly diverse features and assorted possibilities of singular appropriations.
- ItemAs relações de reconhecimento social na cultura escolar : um caminho para a compreensão da construção das identidades docentes(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2012-04-19) Faria, Bruno de Almeida; Bracht, Valter; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Ferraço, Carlos Eduardo; Fensterseifer, Paulo EvaldoThis paper aims to analyze and understand the intersubjective relations existent in the academic culture, regarding Alex Honneth s theory of social recognition. The discussions developed through this study relate to the researches realized in the context of a Public Regular School in Vitória/ES, through the academic year of 2011. The investigative process was developed from an ethnographic research, such as interviews with ten teachers, an educator and a coordinator of the school, who were part of the study sample. The development of the argumentation will be approached into three parts. Initially, it presents a theoretical-methodological discussion, in which tries to delimit the object of analysis, discuss the conceptual assumptions of social recognition s theory and discourse about the investigation development. In the second part, it expresses the mechanisms analysis of teacher identity formation regarding the intersubjective relations of recognition in the society of academic values. In the third part, it analyzes how the "second class" condition of Arts, Physical Education and English Language subjects impacts in affirming and recognizing their teachers identity process. Lastly, in the final considerations,it discourses about the devolutive data process and possible interventions in the academic culture, from the analysis elaborated by an investigative work
- ItemCompreensões do corpo a partir de frequentadoras de uma academia para mulheres de Vitória/ES(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-03-28) Correia, Camila Rissari; Gomes, Ivan Marcelo; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Borges, Carlos Nazareno Ferreira; Pavesi, Patrícia PereiraThis essay has as its target comprehend the body, from the clients of an exclusive fitness center for women on the country of Vitória/ES. More specifically, this research investigates the relationship established between the students and the daily and methodologic dinamic in this fitness center, the care and the speeches of the students on the body, beauty, health and influence of consumer products and services in this process. The research evolved through the participating observations at Contours Fitness Center, originating from a network of international franchises, in addition, semi-strctured interviwes were conducted with the students , the owner and the teacher physical education. The theoretical dialogue of the work favored some elements of Gilles Lipovetsky approach to the contemporany contexto and the characteristics of modern woman, at the some time, we rely on his contributions to reflect and talk on the elements that underlie female body. Among the consideration outlined in the dissertation, we identified the researched fitness center has equipaments, training and personal assistence, besides to adopt a methodolody that does not favor the interaction/socialization among the students. Their profiles are similar to the characteristics of contemporany woman, according to Lipovetsky’s approach, especially as regardes their entry into the world of work, the devitalization of the ideal of housewife and certain bodily autonomy. The comprehension of respondentes about the body are close to the ideals of universalized body, a pattern that involves low fat and muscle definition. The beauty is related to emotional wellness, but at the same time, there is a great physical and finantial investment in relation to body care.
- ItemCorpo, linguagem e educação física : o limite culturalista sob a prespectiva do filósofo José Nuno Gil(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2014-07-11) Costa, Marcelo Adolfo Duque Gomes da; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Bracht, Valter; Pich, SantiagoThis work operates with the thesis that a new look at the body (in which it is also a producer of knowledge) could help us to better understand the knowledge we produce. Body that has been thought of, from modernity (for scientific reason, above all for Western rationality), as always having a secondary role, if compared to the importance attributed to the intellectual plane. The theoretical tool to be used is the philosophy (of the body) by José Nuno Gil, in order to offer the field of physical education a contribution to what Professor Mauro Betti called "dilemma of the cultural turn". In this endeavor, we discussed the following concept of the naked image philosopher; small perceptions; body inscription; infralanguage; body awareness; body of consciousness; body of thought; body space; interior space. From them we try to extract implications for physical education, with focus, more specifically, on the problematizations that involve the relationship between body, knowledge and language.

- ItemCorpos e ambivalências : uma etnografia na praia de Camburi na cidade de Vitória/ES(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-03-15) Herrera, Rodrigo Esteban Gutiérrez; Gomes, Ivan Marcelo; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Kurek, Deonir LuisThe main objective of the dissertation is to interpret the body understandings by the goers (individuals who realizes corporal practices) of the Camburi beach located in the city of Vitória/ES. These body understandings are crossed by a diversity of discourses developed in the modernity and high modernity. Thus, issues related to health and aesthetics are analyzed. The research was developed through an ethnography on the Camburi Beach where semi-structured interviews were also carried out, from which different categories of analysis were developed: health, sociability and aesthetics. The analyzes of the practices resulted in a direct relationship with health motivations, thus aiming a permanent need for feelings of wellbeing as it happens in relation to the different types of consumption in which they stand out in the beach space, physical activity and leisure are highlighted.
- ItemCultura jovem na cidade de Vitória/ES : as práticas corporais juvenis e sua relação com a educação física escolar(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2013-04-05) Bungenstab, Gabriel Carvalho; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Bracht, Valter; Gomes, Ivan Marcelo; Groppo, Luís AntonioThis essay tries to understand some of the facets of the young people who attend High School in the city of Vitória, capital of Espírito Santo, establishing body practices as a reference. For this purpose, this dissertation organizes itself in two distinct moments, the first one holds as a conceptual characteristic, an opportunity to realize a reading about the modern society (and contemporary) from the work of the sociologists Zygmunt Bauman and Michel Maffesoli. Both the sociologists are utilized as to help the comprehension of the youth in modern society. The second moment of this word is composed by what I define as three ethnographic incursions. In the first ethnographic incursion I make use of an open questionnaire and perform a mapping of the 13 High School institutions located in the city of Vitória, the goal is to identify the body practices that the young people have been carrying on in and outside of school. The second ethnographic incursion is dedicated to analyzing the Jogos na rede and Cultura em rede events which occurred in the city of Guarapari, a municipality of Grande Vitória, when I accompanied young people who took part in the fore mentioned events. At this point I emphasize the juvenile relations built during the event as well as how the sportive manifestations are seen and treated by the youth. The third (and last) ethnographic incursion was employed at a single school, from February to September of 2012. Focusing at only one school, I intended to work in a deeper level some issues and themes that were identified when the questionnaire from the first ethnographic incursion was implemented. This would be an opportunity to discuss once more the relations between Physical Education and the culture of the youth and its body practices on High School, in and out of school. Finally, the research has shown how the young people delegate importance to the body practices, either be them held in or outside the school environment, suggesting that at contemporary times it isn t possible to think about the youth without regard to their body practices

Se trata de un estudio de caso, descriptivo y como instrumento de investigación utilizó entrevistas semiestructuradas con alumnos y profesores del Programa. Se percibe que el Programa, a partir de su organización curricular, tiene la preocupación de proporcionar una formación que trasciende una formación especializada. Entendemos que la estructura del programa auxilia en la formación de los estudiantes, a partir de las disciplinas; de los grupos de estudios y en la relación entre alumno y orientador. La formación de Profesores del Programa de Postgrado en Educación Física de la UFES sufre con la influencia del sistema de evaluación de la CAPES. Así, a partir de sus tenencias internas y las dificultades que enfrenta el Programa, percibimos la formación del Programa como instrumento fundamental de capacitación de nuevos profesores universitarios.

- ItemEducação olímpica : valores no jogo da inclusão social(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2014-06-02) Lerina, Diego Boeira; Silva, Otávio Guimarães Tavares da; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Todt, Nelson SchneiderThe generic degree of the values of Olympism allows its integration to different cultural milieus. The teacher when developing an Olympic Education Programme might think about his own values, the values of the Olympism, and those existent in the teaching environment. In this sense, it is important to have a textbook which works as a reference to a systematic approach on sports values. The main objective of this paper is to determine a qualitative content validation on a sporting values textbook design to the Brazilian social inclusion projects (Olympic Education Textbook) (OET). The specific objectives are: (a) to investigate its organisation and method validity; (b) to investigate its information validity; (c) to investigate its communication validity; (d) to investigate its operationalism/feasibility. A qualitative analyses design was selected as most the proper approach to this research. Out of 51 activities 90,81% of them were analysed. From this total amount 93,23% were labeled as feasible. From 37 sugestions given by three evaluators, respectively: information=45,9%; Conmunication=13,5%; Organisation and method=40,6%. Based on those figures, it is possible to state that the OET is adequate to the sporting teaching on social inclusion projects in Brazil
- ItemEntre a legislação e a interpretação : o currículo da educação física na rede de Serra-ES(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-07-27) Lima, Amarilton Cesar Nascimento; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Gomes, Ivan Marcelo; Souza Júnior, Marcílio Barbosa Mendonça deThis work seeks to analyze the dynamic process of building agreements about a curricular orientation of the Physical Education knowledge area in a Municipal Teaching Network, whose conception is expressed to the community involved, formally, through an artifact (guideline, proposal, orientation, Curriculum or curriculum basis). In order to find evidence to help us construct answers to the following questions: What role does a curricular guideline have in the current context? Is it necessary, or is it possible, a curricular orientation, given the plurality of pedagogical conceptions at stake in the field of contemporary school physical education? The analysis of the construction, as well as the repercussion of this proposal was made through a field study, which involved: participation in the meetings of continuing education of Physical Education teachers offered by the Municipal Education Department; A semi-structured interview with five teachers participating in the training, the two training coordinators involved in the construction and implementation of the curricular proposal, two advisors from the University hired to elaborate the guideline and the representative of the Municipal Education Department who coordinated the entire process of document construction Of the municipal curricular guidelines. We opted for the attempt to operate content analysis as indicated by Bardin (2009) and Souza Júnior et al. (2010), as a possibility of interpretation of data in qualitative research in the area of PE. We operate a sociological analysis of this process from the reading keys proposed by Bauman (1998, 2001, 2010) and Habermas (2000, 2004). From this reflection we can indicate that there are phenomena identified as pluralism, hybridism or conceptual syncretism in the area of Physical Education, fruit of the different formative traditions of the subjects, which complicate the dialogue around the curriculum. This leads to such guidelines for more "legislative" proposals (Bauman, 2010), making it difficult for many to relate theory and practice.

- ItemEntre o matrimônio, a beleza, a moda e esportes : imagens da mulher na Revista Vida Capichaba (1925-1939)(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2014-06-26) Silva, Cecília Nunes da; Gomes, Ivan Marcelo; Almeida, Felipe Quintão de; Nader, Maria Beatriz; Della Fonte, Sandra SoaresThe objective of this dissertation is to investigate the images of feminine in the magazine Vida Capichaba, a periodical published biweekly in the State of Espirito Santo, Brazil, between the decades of 1920 and 1950. Due to the magazine’spublication longevity, the authors decided to focus on the decades of 1920 and 1930, particularly between 1925 and 1939. It was found out that the woman ideal present in that magazine went through both the construct of moral requisites and an appropriate education to play roles known to be naturally feminine, such as marriage and maternity. Beside this characteristic, other practices were even more emphasized. The construct of beauty, of a thin and young body associated with the valorisation of sport and fashion became characteristics of the new woman of Espirito Santo. Efficiency and delicacy, sensuality and obedience, maternity and independance, agility and elegance, beauty and freedom. It is in such dualities that traditional social codes and new cultural values fit together, defining new ways of being, which composed the frame work of images in the magazine Vida Capichaba.
