- ItemEnfrentamento à violência contra a mulher: trabalhadoras e trabalhadores da saúde entre dramatização e banalização do mal(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2023-11-24) Simões, Jeremias Campos; Andrade, Maria Angelica Carvalho; https://orcid.org/0000000236906416; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5427520110626795; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3970-0819; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3848925103258680; Sodre, Francis; https://orcid.org/0000000340379388; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7744765390568573; Rocon, Pablo Cardozo; Coqueiro, Jandesson Mendes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0584858296936896; Rocha, Erika Maria SampaioViolence against women is comprehended as a social phenomenon perpetuated by discursive structures. Understanding this issue, characterized as a public health problem, underscores the relevance of healthcare workers in addressing this social fact. The general objective is to understand processes favoring the banalization of evil, involving healthcare workers within the scope of a Basic Health Unit, regarding health intervention related to violence against women. This qualitative research is structured with a conceptual trajectory that incorporates the concept of banalization of evil, developed by Christophe Dejours from Hannah Arendt's banality of evil, and the gender concept by Judith Butler. Data were collected from healthcare workers in demanding higher education roles. This production primarily occurred through semi-structured interviews, analyzed through Similarity Analysis and Sense Nuclei Analysis. The research territory was a Basic Health Unit with a Family Health Strategy team. The analysis reveals that healthcare workers, when confronting violence against women, navigate between the banalization and dramatization of evil; the banalization of evil consolidates as an appropriate theory for analyzing healthcare workers' collective adherence to behaviors that foster evil; violence against women operates metaphorically in an osmotic movement between the health territory and UBS; neoliberal rationality brings significant implications in addressing violence against women. The conclusion emphasizes the relevance of Family Health Strategy teams and the Unified Health System as protagonists in the dramatization of evil, capable of enabling a satisfactory confrontation of violence against women.

In this context, the present study aimed to narrate the collective experiences of transvestites with a focus on the aging process. It was a qualitative research where Walter Benjamin's conversation and narrative theory were used as devices for the production of transvestites' narratives. Rio Grande do Sul and Espírito Santo were chosen as the research scenarios. Several aspects that influence their aging process were narrated by transvestites. From their narratives, aspects such as opportunities for formal education and work, access to health services to make bodily changes and violence were shown to be phenomena that influence their aging process and their perceptions of old age. Even in the midst of precariousness, transvestites enhance their friendships, sharing experiences that make their lives more livable. Through their narratives, they told moving stories that show their struggles to exist and conquer their right to grow up transvestite.

Even today, due to the magnitude and relevance, perceived inequalities between genders remain a necessary topic and with new configurations, a phenomenon that affects men and women. In this study, these inequalities will be discussed taking as a problem the production of violence, as a habitus socially constructed by relationships anchored in hegemonic masculinities. OBJECTIVE: to analyze the narratives about masculinities and gender inequalities from the point of view of male perpetrators of violence indicted by the Civil Police, referred to the Specialized Police Station for Women, a reference in Grande Vitória-ES. METHODOLOGY: this is a descriptive and exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, with 20 male perpetrators of violence referred to a service of the Specialized Police Station for Assistance to Women, a reference for the municipalities of Cariacica, Vila Velha, Vitória and Serra-ES . For data collection, a semi-structured interview was used, carried out remotely through recorded phone calls due to health restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic. The narratives were transcribed and, later, with the help of Atlas.ti software, version 9.0, they underwent an enunciation analysis under the theoretical lens of Habitus, by the author Bourdieu, and Domination-exploration, by Saffioti. The study's research question is: what are the narratives of male perpetrators of violence on masculinities that, therefore, strengthen practices of gender inequalities?. RESULTS: male perpetrators of violence mentioned the following central ideas about what “being a man” means: being heterosexual; not showing affection to other men; to be a provider, worker, honest, good and faithful father; takes care of and offers security to the family; have good financial condition and a good level of education. The participants' central ideas about what it means to “be a woman” were: to be affectionate/affectionate, companion, faithful, respectful; having dialogue, posture; it does not prevent man from carrying out his will; it is not vulgar; it is not confrontational; it does not go out alone for leisure or sell itself for money; does not change gender. It was observed that most cases of gender violence were motivated by jealousy. CONCLUSION: gender inequalities, as well as violence against women, represent a historical process, crossed and intersected, also by issues associated with race, social class, gender and sexual orientation of each individual. Male domination demands effort and adaptations for its maintenance in society, in addition to having repercussions on inequalities in economic, cultural, social and symbolic capital between men and women.
