- ItemA cidade rasurada : intervenções gráficas urbanas, comunicação e imaginação espacial(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-08-24) Ferreira, Sérgio Rodrigo da Silva; Cirillo, Aparecido José; Rodrigues, Alexandro; Reis, RuthThis research aims to understand how graffiti places itself as a radical medium in communication with the city, on a small scale and in different ways. It understands that graffiti has hybrid components flirting with a series of artistic doings of the visual arts (such as painting, urban interventions and the graffiti itself) and also literary, as with subversion, criminal, cultural and political resistance. The subject of this study belongs to the field of spatial imagination based on the thoughts from the geographer Doreen Massey, which states that the implicit assumptions we make in relation to the space are significant. In this sense, it understands the imagination as a mechanism for production of images, as it creates ways of conceiving the space within all its implications, in social and political effects. The documents reviewed for this study are the recent research on the graffiti interventions over the city and it serves as the basis for the notions on the city that are endowed in their discourses. The goal is to set urban space and the images in order to establish how the urban graphical interventions - Tags and Graffiti - blur the established boundaries in the city's territory. Therefore, it seeks to comprehend how the territories are the result of interactions between social relations and space control, a powerful relationship in a broad sense, at the same time more concretely (domination) and symbolic (a type of appropriation as in those cases where we will analyze). Controlling the space is traditionally done by demarcation, through limits and boundaries, and also the discourses insert on the elements that make up the urban spatiality, which means to diminish or weaken the control over it. Thus, increasing the dynamic fluidity mobility of other aesthetic, information and alternative discourses to the public policies, priorities and hegemonic perspectives. The work of intervening is not to manipulate the pictorial elements, but to be appropriate from the material elements of cities and from their inhabitants movements that make the territory to communicate or to sensitize their audience. It is in this sense that the political, economic, and social issues are aspects passing through the understanding of urban graphical intervention.
- ItemA cobertura do jornal A Gazeta sobre a titulação de comunidades remanescentes de quilombos (1988-2017)(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2019-05-07) Silva, Girley Vieira da; Zanetti, Daniela; Andrade, Patrícia Gomes Rufino; Oliveira, Osvaldo Martins; Souza, Rafael Bellan Rodrigues deThis research, carried out within the scope of the Post-Graduate Program in Communication and Territorialities of the Federal University of Espírito Santo, is part of the Research and Communication Research Line. It is a study in the area of Communication and Politics with the purpose of analyzing the participation of the newspaper A Gazeta, a company belonging to the largest communication group of Espírito Santo, in the dynamics of social power around the dispute for quilombola areas in the interior of the state. Although the demarcation of quilombolas territories is a guaranteed right to quilombo remnants since the enactment of the Federal Constitution in 1988, no area was destined in this state until the conclusion of this research. However, only the beginning of the processes aimed at the realization of this right was sufficient to generate a reaction from ideologically opposed groups, who began to occupy and mobilize important instruments of exercise of social power, such as the State and the press, to guarantee the preservation of their interests . And it was to this reaction that this work directed his look, especially to the news and reports published by A Gazeta in the year of 2007 and interviews with representatives of the ethnic group approached as counterpoint to the discourse of the media. For the accomplishment of the analyzes of this corpus composed by 12 occurrences we are supported, mainly, in the theoretical-methodological framework of the framing analysis. For this, for example, we have observed the assumptions of Stuart Hall in his cultural studies and analyzes of the media and of Robert Entman and his contributions in relation to the framing analysis paradigm. From the analysis of these journalistic texts it was possible to perceive that the space of media visibility built around this theme privileged ideas and subjects contrary to the demarcation of quilombolas territories, mainly by means of the production and placement of economist-type frameworks that attribute to the execution of this policy possible social and financial damages and portray in a discriminatory and racist way the way of life of these communities. In addition, while highlighting the frameworks favorable to the members of the hegemonic group involved in the dispute (landowners and agribusiness multinationals), the newspaper also silenced the arguments of the quilombolas fundamental for understanding the importance of titling, such as those related to cultural aspects , the ancestry and the dynamics of land use as a space for the production of identities and subjectivities of the communities.
- ItemA comunicação da pastoral operária da arquidiocese de Vitória de 1977 a 1985 e nos anos 2010 : estratégias, cotejos e apontamentos(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-09-12) Dal Gobbo, Elaine Rodrigues; Rebouças, José Edgard; Guerrieri, Maurício Abdalla; Martinuzzo, José AntônioThis dissertation seeks to understand the participation of the communication of Worker Pastoral of the Archdiocese of Vitória in the mobilization of workers in two different moments. The first period is between 1977 and 1985. The second is the 2010s decade. With regard to the late 1970s and mid-1980s, the study object is informative Ferramenta, the main media of Worker Pastoral, as well as the economic, political, social and ecclesial contexts of this period. In 2010, in addition to these contexts in the present moment, the communication from the Archdiocese of Vitória was studied and later, specifically, for the communication of the Worker Pastoral. For the theoretical approach, Church documents were used in the first chapter, such as the Encyclical Rerum Novarum, Quadragesimo Anno, Gaudium Et Spes, Vatican II; and the documents of the Episcopal Conferences of Medellín and Puebla. It was also used a book from the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB) to discuss the concept of social ministry and its origin, as well as authors such as Vito Giannotti, Idelfonso Camacho, Gustavo Gutierrez, Frei Betto, Paulo Freire e Ana Maria Doimo. In the second chapter the authors used were Bordenave, Milton Santos, Manuel Castells, José Antônio Martinuzzo, Cicília Peruzzo, Maria da Glória Gohn, Luiz Beltrão, Gustavo Cardoso, Cláudia Lamy, Manuel Carlos Chaparro, Paulo Freire e Joana Puntel. From the documents of the Church, in the second chapter were studied the Inter Mirífica Decree, which is one of the documents of the Second Vatican Council; the documents of Medellín, Puebla and Santo Domingo with respect to communication; the Directory of Communication of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil and the speeches of Pope Francisco on the World Day of Social Communication. In the third chapter, the authors studied were Ricardo Lara, Mauri Antônio da Silva, Henrique Cristiano José Matos, Maria da Penha Smarzaro Siqueira. In addition to the bibliographic research, the methodological procedures used include interviews, content analysis of informative tool and participant observation. The study concludes that the success of the informative tool was due to factors such as institutional support of the Church to the work of social pastoral and, consequently, popular communication as an instrument of social mobilization; historical context of mobilization of the working class, among others. The research also points out that the communication of the Pastoral Worker today reflects the weakening of the pastoral ministry itself because of a scenario of demobilization of popular movements and a new project of the Church, which leaves social issues aside, for example. Moreover, within this new church project, popular communication is not contemplated.
- ItemA comunicação dos movimentos sociais como meio de empoderamento para a cidadania(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-04-05) Antolini, Marialina Côgo; Rebouças, José Edgard; Henriques, Rafael Paes; Peruzzo, CiciliaThis research seeks to understand the relationship between communicative processes and the citizenship’s achievements. Here, communication is perceived in its broadest sense – it includes the mass media information, that brings information and entertainment, but are often manipulated by economic interests; the alternative media, which amplifies voices and fight for rights, especially those practiced by the social movements; and the interpersonal communication, dialogic, which permeates people’s everyday processes and the public spheres discussions, generating debate. All these "communications" are perceived as an essential part of understanding what is citizenship, the way it evolves and influences the manner citizens are seen as such. Social movements are analyzed as a fundamental part of this issue, since they act as the principal agents of struggle for rights in contemporary societies. This study justifies itself as it seeks to contribute to the understanding of the relationship between the communication processes that permeate the daily life of civil society, from the communication analysis involving social movements. The main proposition is the communication in all its aspects is essential to these movements while actors in the fighting for rights and citizenship’s strengthening. For this, we present a historical and the current discussion of the concepts of citizenship, human rights, participation and social movements and their relations with the communication field. The goal is to contribute to the understanding of the relationship between communication, democratic processes and the construction of citizenship, systematically little researched yet. This theoretical study uses as methodology the literature survey in order to identify, discuss and relate concepts already developed by researchers from the different fields addressed. The main references used are Desmond Fischer (1984), Cees Hamelink (2004), Norberto Bobbio (1982, 2004), Fabio Konder Comparato (2010), Thomas Marshall (1967), José Murilo de Carvalho (2004), Liszt Vieira (2001), Pedro Demo (1993, 1995), Juan Dias Bordenave (1983), Charles Tilly (2007), Alberto Melucci (2001), Jürgen Habermas (1984, 1997), Andrew Arato and Jean Cohen (1992), John Downing (2004), Cicilia Peruzzo (1998), Paulo Freire (2013), Jesús Martín-Barbero (1997, 2012) and Milton Santos (2013).
- ItemA dimensão comunicacional dos rolezinhos da grande Vitória : cotidiano, sociabilidade e visibilidade(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2017-03-27) Alvarenga, Angelo Bortolon de; Zanetti, Daniela; Pavesi, Patrícia Pereira; Lima, Fabio Luiz Malini deThis dissertation analyzes the daily life, the processes of sociability, with a view to some visibility, of young social actors from the outskirts of Greater Vitória. The imbrication between daily life, sociability and visibility is reflected in the phenomenon, meeting of young people from the outskirts of the urban centers, which took place in shopping malls (and eventually in other spaces) of the big cities. In this research, the object of study is characterized by the meetings held at Moxuara Shopping, located in Cariacica, a component municipality of the Greater Vitória metropolitan region. The rolls are organized by the social network Facebook, social network that composes an informational territoriality in this research, and concretized in person in said mall, geographic territoriality of that study. In this way, both territorialities are embedded functioning as a space for the effectiveness of the experience of young people. Faced with this experience, this dissertation will try to know some aspects of youth from the periphery, through the theoretical and empirical analysis of the little ones.
- ItemÀ margem dos jornais: uma análise de representação das áreas de vulnerabilidade social da Grande Vitória na imprensa capixaba(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2019-04-24) Ronchi, Ana Carolina; Rebouças, José Edgard; Zanotelli, Cláudio Luiz; Souza, Rafael Bellan Rodrigues deThis dissertation aims to understand how the printed newspapers A Gazeta and A Tribuna represent the areas of social vulnerability of the Metropolitan Region of Grande Vitória, in Espírito Santo. As a snippet of the localities to be analyzed, the Government of the State of Espírito Santo program called “Ocupação Social” was used. Of the 26 localities contemplated by project 18 are located in the Metropolitan Region, being also those analyzed in this research. At first, it starts off from the discussions around the press as a social institution authorized to narrate about the quotidian. Journalism is understood as a producer of content governed by its own dynamics and routines. Then there is the discussion about the formation of territories and territorialities understanding them in this research both physically - with vulnerable neighborhoods - and symbolically - journalism as social narrator. The reflection on territories culminates in the discussion about violence and how the press is responsible for presenting it (and representing it). Lastly, the information obtained through a Content Analysis on the coverage of the newspapers A Gazeta and A Tribuna around the vulnerable neighborhoods in the year 2016 is evidenced. The research indicates that the neighborhoods of social vulnerability are protagonists in the contents about violence in Espírito Santo and that cultural contents about them are almost non-existent. There is also the discussion around the approach of the two newspapers, their similarities and differences in reporting these facts.
- ItemA morte na territorialidade digital : espetáculo, consumo e gestão do medo nas redes sociais(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2017-05-26) Sangalli, Heryck Luiz Jacob; Martinuzzo, José Antonio; https://orcid.org/0000000204998512; Alves, Gabriela Santos; Ribeiro, Renata de RezendeThe present research is aimed to investigate approaches concerning death on the digital social network Facebook. The hypotheses to analyze the theme consider that death is related to spectacle, consumption and management of fear. The production of content regarded to this perspective is only made possible by means of the current media-based society in which digital social networks prospered because it provided tools for the development of locus. Thus, our empirical object of analysis is Jogos Mortais +18 and Faca na Caveira, two Brazilian pages in which contents referring to the death are posted. The study is divided into three parts that build the theoretical framework by means of a bibliographical review: death, media-based society and social networks on the Internet as a source of new territorialities; and spectacle, consumption and fear, as mentioned above. Next, ethnographic observation and content analysis as a methodology are applied. In order to understand how death is experienced in the wide day-to-day of Facebook, a survey aimed at users was conducted. In this manner, it is concluded that death is actually connected to spectacle, information consumption, and management of fear, appropriated by specific individuals to manage control. In addition, we have confirmed that death is part of Facebook's daily living and sociability, and also consumed by users who are not included in pages that publish such subject
- ItemAfrosamurai : uma análise sobre a representação de um heroí e protagonista negro na narrativa transnacional do Anime(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-04-01) Rangel, Edson Alves; Menotti, Gabriel; Brandão, Alessandra; Vieira Junior, ErlyThis study analyzes the representation of a black player in the transnational anime AfroSamurai.
- ItemAs TVs universitárias no contexto das indústrias culturais e midiáticas : o desafio conceitual e a busca de um modelo(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2016-03-28) Dias, Ana Paula Vieira de Souza; Rebouças, José Edgard; Temer, Ana Carolina Rocha Pessôa; Martinuzzo, José AntonioThis work aims to show the importance of University TV from the point of view of the guarantee of rights, like the right to information, communication and education, and social point of view, as the body that can contribute to the democratization of communication and for the formation of active citizenship of individuals. Thus, considering that the University TV is a communication vehicle set up as part of an institution of education, the proposal is to analyze it located at the interface of these two areas: Communication and Education, understood from the perspective of Educommunication. This approach is the opposite of what here is called commercial media, that is only concerned with the profit generated by vehicles. Given this paradox and TV University as study object inserted in this context, comes up the following questioning: how the University TV can be on a commercial television feature counterpoint model of cultural and media industries? From this discussion, the general objective of the research is to understand the University TV in its entirety, clarifying their legal constitution, administrative, financial and logical that govern it in order to explain their way of working and seeking possible models for its constitution while publica television, committed to the values of Educommunication and promotion of citizenship. The work is in the line of research "Communication and Power", at the Master in Communication and Territorialities of the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Ufes), that proposes an analysis of a kind of media-communication device, noting that way it impacts the social, economic and political context in which it appears. To this end, the method used is the case study of six university TVs of federal universities, using literature, questionnaires answered by the managers of the selected TVs, sample analysis, data and documents collected. Adopt a critical perspective, from the theoretical framework of the Frankfurt School, the Political Economy of Communication and Educommunication. Finally, it is concluded that the lack of a model and a University TV project harms its consolidation. In this sense, we point out some indications of possible models for the establishment of University TVs so that they can expand their potential performance.
- ItemCelebridade 2.0 : o Youtube e a nova fábrica de famosos(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-03-15) Vasconcelos, Amanda Meschiatti; Zanetti, Daniela; Rebouças, José Edgard; Pavesi, Patrícia PereiraThe present work is an investigation into the webcelebrity’s phenomenon, specifically focused on the webcelebrities who arise from and remain on YouTube, a streaming platform and also a digital social network that is the second website most accessed in the world. Thus, our aim is to comprehend which atributes legimate that an user can be highlight among the others, becoming webcelebrity; as well as understand the values its suggests and its main characteristics, the collective ethos of the group. In this way, we selected as our corpus two prominent youtubers from Brazil: Whindersson Nunes and Kéfera Buchmann. The study was divided into three chapters where, with bibliographical review and tools of ethnographic inspiration, we approached the culture of fame, the cyberspace and its territories and territorialities, such as YouTube. Through the technique of observation and the use of descriptive maps was possible unveil the geographies and stories of YouTube platform, that is also an entertainment industry. After, we use trajectory analysis in biographical documents and discourse analysis in media documents provided by Whindersson and by Kéfera with the videos published on their YouTube channels. To understand the other side of fame, from a recursive perspective, we seek for fans’ experiences through a survey on-line. From this methodology, its concluded that celebrity on YouTube is made with social capital, prevailing the constant mention to intimate life, the vlog format and the presentation of atributes that are decoded by audience as authenticity, humbleness and simplicity, spontaneity and the funny frame what has in humor the basis of the text. Furthermore, we could conclude that such celebrities reinforce a mentality very similar to common sense. The fans answers revealed that youtuber phenomenon recruits adepts in all regions of Brazil, specially between female teenagers. These fans are, mostly, shy in their demonstrations of affection to celebrity, but they transfer this love for consumption, trying to emulate the identity of the idol, as well as when they do incorporating traits of the idol's behavior. This same feeling is directed for communities. Most interviewees affirm they have already made friendships through this shared taste: admiring the same youtuber.
- ItemColaboração e apropriação mercadológica em financiamentos coletivos(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-03-27) Pereira, Sidney Spacini; Menotti, Gabriel; Zanetti, Daniela; Pernisa Júnior, CarlosThe goal of the present work is to explore the mechanisms in which the crowdfunding processes operate, with an special focus in the collaboration’s discourse which the proponents and institutions that make use of this tool of financing projects rely on. Starting the studies with the definition of collaboration (HEINRICH et HEINRICH, 2007), I’ll propose a series of analysis of the possible implications of the discursive use of this concept as a way of perpetuate the consumerism practices in the ways of the subversion of the everyday habits elements by the marketing in the context of the late capitalism (CRARY, 2014), especially in with the use of mechanisms of psychological ownership (PIERCE, 2011) and narrative consumption. After this analysis, my work will focus in understand the ways this logic can be subverted by processes that escape this marketing appropriation, bringing back the collaboration logics to the crowdfunding processes
- ItemComunicação política e redes sociais : produção discursiva dos senadores no Facebook sobre o impeachment de Dilma Rousseff(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-04-05) Silva, Milena Mangabeira da; Reis, Ruth de Cássia dos; Lima, Fábio Luiz Malini de; Geraldes, Elen CristinaThe impeachment process of President Dilma Rousseff of the Workers' Party between December 2015 and August 2016 was one of the main political and institutional crises in Brazil in the post-re-democratization period. Digital social networks are constituted as political and communicational territories and play a fundamental role in the process of political articulation and citizen participation. We sought to understand how the Brazilian Senators appropriated the instruments made available by Facebook, the most used social network in the country, to become active characters in the narrative disputes in the Brazilian political scene, observing the main strategies and discursive options adopted by these agents politicians. Based on a database composed of 27,119 posts made between April 17 and August 31, 2016, during which the process of impeachment proceeded in the Senate, extracted from 82 pages of senators of the Republic, and a theoretical contribution that combines contributions from the discourse analysis, content analysis and network analysis, in a process of triangulation of methods - multimethod -, we identify discursive strategies that have in the dramatization their organizing axis. The routing of the political plot aims to persuade the public by mobilizing the emotions to create empathy and adhesion, an operation that finds in the place of speech the shortcut to constitute argumentative legitimacy. With the use of multimedia forms of expression, parliamentarians, in a single movement, configure and appropriate the context of political crisis to dispute narratives consonant with their political vision, aiming to boost allies and disqualify opponents. In a moment of political polarization, the strategy of emotion and disqualification in the political discourse is common to the main political agents that have volume of presence in social networks, provoking users' engagement.
- ItemDiscurso fotográfico no Instragam : a cidade de Vitória sob o olhar de seus usuários(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2017-04-05) Bianchi, Ana Clara Magnago; Reis, Ruth de Cássia dos; Goveia, Fabio Gomes; Medeiros, Macello SantosThis work analyses the production of images in the context of the new communication practices. This new practices, in the condition of a discourse, give birth to new forms for a Being make appropriation of territories, creating new ways of being inside a world and new territorialities. The purpose of this study is to comprehend how the images produced in the context of cyberculture proliferates and which territories of the city this images proliferates. We stablished two questions to answer here: what discourses about the city are built in the context of life experience, imagination, technological resources and photographic language; and which relations/experiences are stablished with the city and the new communicational processes that allows the creation of discursive buildings about the city. Our theoreticalmethodological references area aligned with the actor-network theory, the discourse analyzes, the studies about cyberculture and the studies about territorialities. We decided to focus on the social network called Instagram and the city of Vitória, capital of Espírito Santo, Brazil. We decided to Use a multimethodological approach that is aligned with the contributions of Big Data analyzes, discourse analyzes and content analyzes that allowed us to collect, organize and comprehend the data that is part of this work, 51,850 unique images indexed with the hashtags #vix, #vitoriaes, #vitorinha and #vitoriasualinda. We built a theoretical body that allowed us to comprehend how the informational and physical territories constitutes the contemporary cities, the algorithms cities, creating a new links with the place. From the photos of our data, we perceived two dynamics of discursive production about the city of Vitória inside Instagram: one that starts from given ideas, the interdiscourse; and other that innovates, the intradiscourse. The production of photographic discourse about the city inside Instagram acquire, at the same time, new and updated outlines as new actors fights over producing meaning of a city, in this case Vitória. At the same time, this meaning production reinforce the synthesis images of the city, made inside the context of history and advertising speech, and produce innovation, making space for new relations with the city
- ItemDo sujeito ao ciborgue : ciberfeminismo e teoria feminista para o século XXI : narrativas de ativismo feminista em rede no twitter(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-09-19) Coelho, Ana Paula Pereira; Malini, Fábio; Natansohn, Leonor Graciela; Reis, Ruth de Cássia dosThis work is an analysis of the initiatives of feminist groups in Twitter and of cyberfeminists of mobilization and appropriation of science and technology in movement of conquest by equity and freedom. We bring narratives about the groups of cyberfeminists in the network, using the site of relationships Twitter - much used by Brazilian feminists. Donna Haraway, one of the latest authors to work on the quest for a less technophobic femininity, basely or cyberfeministically influencing the term as a basis for political action. The main issue of this work is to destroy as links between feminism and cyborg, the terms and modes of operation of cyberfeminism, narratives and events, in order to analyze the groups' interactions and their diversity
- Item#EstuproNãoÉCulpaDaVítima : as narrativas construídas no twitter sobre o estupro cometido no Rio de Janeiro(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-08-20) Gonçalves, Bianca Bortolon; Lima, Fabio Luiz Malini de; Tomazi, Michelini Matedi; Zanetti, DanielaOn May 25, 2016, the video of a collective rape to an adolescent, held in a community in Rio de Janeiro, was published on Twitter. The fact rose among the users of the social network a debate about the persistence of rape in Brazilian society and culminated in online campaigns against rape culture, a central concept to the feminist movement, guided by the hashtags #EstuproNuncaMais and #EstuproNãoÉCulpaDaVítima. This study aims to analyze the narratives built on Twitter about the collective rape suffered by the teenager on Twitter. Using the perspectivist network analysis methodology proposed by Malini (2016), the main objectives were to understand the ways in which social network users have positioned themselves in relation to the case and to identify the most recurrent themes, as well as to recognize the role of feminist theory in the construction of such narratives. In addition, the matter of cyberspace is introduced as a territory for social activity based on the concepts of territoriality, mass self-communication and the recent history of online demonstrations. After the analysis, it was concluded that the online campaign had a strong influence of the feminist thought but not of the movement itself, having the world of fandoms as a main factor for the campaign’s elevation to a viral status. It was also observed the use of the mentions tool as a way of reporting and, in addition, the high number of users allied to a low number of profile communities and the explosive percentage increase of the use of hashtags as possible data for formulating a virality index of networked campaigns.

- ItemFotografias e territorialidades : memórias e resistências sobre a comunidade de Monteiro/São Martinho(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-08-20) Simões, Elizabeth Nader; Alves, Gabriela Santos; Rossoni, Rodrigo; Martinuzzo, José AntonioThis work analyzes photography as a source of documentations that perpetuate moments, witness individual and collective routine, feed and produce memories and serve as a resistance to forgetfulness and silence. Based on the photo documentary - developed by this researcher - held in two distinct moments of the 34 families of the Monteiro - São Martinho community (municipality of Anchieta, south coast of the State of Espírito Santo, Brazil) during their process of territorial changing, caused by the Vale S/A's intention of building Companhia Siderurgica Ubu (CSU) in the area. The first moment, made in the period between 2012 and 2014, records the daily life of the residents before the process of deterritorialization of the neighborhood Monteiro; the second moment, from 2016, monitors the reterritorialization process of the families in a new residential complex (built by the mining company Vale S/A specially for them, in the São Martinho district), regarding what has changed, what has remained and what no longer exists in the quotidian activities of the residents. It is intended to create an analysis on the practical actions during a process of deterritorialization / reterritorialization of the community, in these different moments, by the perspective of photography / visual documentation. The images are understood here as tools for understanding the complexity of this whole process of territorial entanglements between institutional formalities and everyday creations.
- ItemGuerra de mundos : a estratégia robótica no Twitter durante as eleições presidenciais de 2014(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2017-02-09) Regattieri , Lorena Lucas; Lima, Fabio Luiz Malini de; https://orcid.org/0000000287471053; Zanetti, Daniela; Antoun, HenriqueIs it possible to speak on a human communication schedule? This dissertation aims to understand the algorithmic role in network in contemporary society, mainly as automated agents - known as robots (bots) - acted on Twitter in the Presidential Elections of Brazil in 2014. We ponder that with the large amount of data (Big data), this reciprocal agency between human and non-human actors is activated through data processing and the mediation in the social media environment. Thus, we consider that the data flux in large quantity is composed in an associative character between human and artificial agents. Our hypothesis is that these actors in relation imply new communication practices and end up transforming public spaces of interaction in social networks (like Twitter and Facebook) creating a culture of massification and notification. Through a qualitative-quantitative method that connects cartography and graph theory, it is possible to collect, analyze and visualize the traces produced by entities of social networks. When dialoguing with theoretical references in philosophy, anthropology, communication, computing and literature, we seek to understand the scale at which the bot as an algorithmic tool changes our way of communicating and the implications in the digital sphere. Our analysis of the 2014 Presidential Elections is based on data collected from Twitter during election debates and the last week of the election. In this way, our discussion problematizes the bot as an algorithmic agent capable of interfering with the way the social is done.
- ItemImagem e territorialidades : cidadania e direitos humanos no campo do audiovisual(Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, 2018-05-02) Mação, Patrik Camporez; Zanetti, Daniela; Alvarenga, Clarisse Maria Castro de; Alvarenga, Alexandre CurtissThis work investigates the connections between the fields of cinema and audiovisual and of citizenship and human rights through the public policies study of audiovisual inclusion implemented in the years 2000 in Brazil. The research analyses the inclusion of topics related to Human Rights and Citizenship in the audiovisual field, aiming to study two fostered programs released the first half of the years 2000: Revelando os Brasis e Mostra Nacional de Cinema e Direitos Humanos. Aiming with it, comprehend the symbolic changes promoted by the images usage through expansionist initiatives for cinema and audiovisual practices, using them as a resource for social inclusion. This phenomenon parallels a period in which the Government adopts public resources democratization in the audiovisual scope. Cinema starts to be, in fact, seen as a public policy and as a tool to strengthen traditions, identities and regionalities. Therefore, audiovisual will be analyzed, in this study, from the territories and of territorialities perspective
